Yeah? I do like the Crue. I'll always remember being in high school, on a band trip. We stopped by a mall in a city on the way home. Recall going to the record store and buying a Shout at the Devil cassette tape, getting back on the bus, playing it on the boom box the rest of the way home. Yes, we had a lot of rockers in marching band. Not all of us were your typical band geeks. [;)]

Sadly their best work in my opinion was the self titled CD Motley Crue, the first CD they had without Vince Neil. My gawd that was a rockn' CD.

Ehem....lol, let me clear my throat man! Although "Hooligans Holiday" & "Misunderstood" were good tracks off that cd, & actually the disc as a whole wasn't bad, I just consider it a different band. John Corabi is a good frontman, but in Motley Crue he doesn't fit. I think him going off with Bruce Kulick (Kiss) to form Union better suits him. Vince Neil "IS" Motley Crue...although his vocal abilities have declined over the years... Motley Crue will always be Vince, Nikki, Mick & Tommy! You can't tell me (I won't hear it anyway lol) that "Too Fast For Love" & "Shout At The Devil" Don't out rock "Motley Crue".

As for the concert DVD... it's pretty good. It was filmed here in Grand Rapids. I was there at the show. There's plenty of sleaze, as they handed out front row tickets to all the local strippers at the strip clubs around town. Once again Vince's vocals suck, but the performance as a whole is pretty good. Nikki does a crazy solo as is Tommy's drum solo between two kits hoisted up high. I don't think you will see them live as a whole too many more times, as Mick's health is poor. If you are a fan, you will love the DVD!

I won't dispute that, but.. that one CD musically in my opinion is their finest.

I thought DVD was fine. It's a bit on the softcore porn side of things, but they used some unique video stuff and the songs are still good to hear. I thought the audio was fine. Mic being as sick as he is isnt able to do a lot of the things you come to expect from a hard rock band lead guitarist and I thought early he wasnt hitting everything, but as the show moved on it seemed like he warmed up a bit. I agree though that the Crew is with Vince. He doesnt have as strong a vocal a he once did, but I thought he did the songs justice.

My 2 cents

I believe the Crue can still put on an excellent show, but it just bugs the heck out of me to hear Vince sing. Seems like the more years pass, the more lyrics he skips. Seems like on half the tunes, he sings half the lyrics. The DVD is pretty entertaining... I would say tons better than than their last attempt "Lewd, Crued, and Tattooed" That thing is one step away from being a frisbee in my opinion lol. AND that's coming from a Crue fan.

Here ya go mOOn. I think for a while there Mick had become a recluse, hiding from everyone & becoming addicted to pain killers etc. It wasn't until the talk of a reunion that he sought medical help & had the surgery. I think friends & bandmembers urged him to seek help. I think I remember hearing or watching something where he only weighed close to 100 lbs.

Mars, 53, has been suffering from a chronic degenerative illness, ankylosing spondylitis, for some time and underwent hip replacement surgery to ease the pain of the damaged joint.

"The surgery went extremely well," Mars' surgeon Dr. Brad Penenberg said following the operation. "I expect him to be walking with the help of a physical therapist as early as Wednesday morning."

Individuals afflicted with Mars' illness suffer from a fusing together of some or all joints and bones of the spine. The affected area becomes inflamed and some of the bone may erode, but only about six percent of sufferers of the disease need to undergo hip-replacement surgery. The illness cannot be cured but the pain can be minimized with anti-inflammatory drugs, according to the National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society.

Got it for my birthday, finally got to watch it. I loved everything about it except the acoustics. I understand it's a live concert DVD, but I've heard better recording engineering off other DVDs. That must have been on hell of a show to see live!
