DrWho
Relatively speaking the cornwalls definetly are boomier... But relative boominess is not the same thing as absolute boominess....you are comparing the sonic signature of two faulty systems. You need to compare the sonic signature against the recording itself (aka, the "goal" is somewhere inbetween - I won't presume to argue which is closer though). The best way to do this would be to listen to the recordings on multiple quality studio headphones. If the source material is boomy, then there are better ways of addressing the issue than forcing a transport function at the speaker level. edwinr
"20 feet by 18 feet by 2 foot 6 inch ceiling, " Undoubably the two and a half foot ceiling is the problem Edwin. Whatever you do, don't invite 6foot8 over for an audition.[] Rick LOL!!!! You bloody Yanks......! I'm trying to convert metric into shoes and toes (for those that don't understand - that's feet and inches!) Talking about crawl space with 2 foot 6inch ceilings... Big Man wouldn't even be able to crawl in there. [:$] Anyhow I remeasured my ceiling and it works out to 7 feet 11 inches, or thereabouts. easyeyes
Meagin, I read in another post of yours that you received your Pearch/Blueberry and the VRDs; has the addition of the new gear made a "big" distinction between the "better" sound of the Khorn over the Cornwall? meagain
Lisa, my new horn's will be 6 foot tall, about 2 feet wide, and 18 inches deep[][A][]Are ya HORNY baby[8-|] Actually, may-BE! Do you know what for? [] EDIT: Easyeyes - I had to step away from 'the project' for a bit. Put the cornwalls, etc. on the side for now to let my ears rest up. I like Cornwalls though! That's for sure.
