Buckeye_Nut
I finally converted to Klipsch today:) I bought a pair of the brand spanking new RF-82's for fronts, a pair of the new RF-52's for surrounds, and the RC-62 for the center. The 82's are on order and I wont get them for another week, but I did get plenty of time to play with the others tonight, and I'll have to say that it was fun:) For "DEMO NIGHT", I watched the Fifth Element and 'LOTR-Return of the King'. WOW..............What fun!!!!! Wow...that RC-62 his HOT, HOT, HOT........ That center channel speaker ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! The sound & detail is incredible!! I put the RF-52's up front until their big brothers arrive, and they carried the load just fine, and I was impressed with the detail they delivered as well. Im an old schooler who's had behemoth Cerwin Vega D-9s serving front duty of my HT since the beginning of time(I've owned them since 1985)............LOL I moved the D-9s to 'surround sound' duty, and I'll have to say they didnt disappoint....hahahahaha I confess that they do an admirable job for HT, but the detail offered by the Klipsch is at a different level. (duh?) The old CV center channel speaker and my old surrounds are now officially in the basement. BTW...... I still think it's funny having 100lb behemoths serving as surround sound speakers...hahahahahaha The bigguns will be moved to the garage system as soon as the RF-82's arrive and I move the 52's to their proper place:) Once my 82's arrive, I'll have the loudest garage system on the planet!! hahahahaha It's not like I spend much time in the garage, but at least I'll get to crank some JAMs in the garage each spring when I do my thorough cleaning. I have a retired 125wpc Pioneer that's waiting for those baby's in the garage!! As for my HT setup, I still have crappy Bose serving "Back" channel duty in my 7.1 setup, but hey.... It's only the back and they fit the space, right? At least sound comes out of them. My SVS PB12-Plus2 no doubt compliments the entire setup well, and I cant wait to watch a few movies tomorrow night:) YEA BABY, GO KLIPSCH!!!!!! Im a happy new customer, and glad to join the club! Once my wife finishes crapping her pants over my recent Klipsch purchases, I'll toss those Bose-'backs' into the garbage and finish the setup right with Klipsch backs:) Ahhhhhhhh yes... Life is good!!

Buckeye_Nut
OMG..... Look at my drunken 1am rant..... LOL Message board rule #1: Never post messages while in a drunken stuper. Im probably not the best person to give impressions of the speakers because all I can really compare them to are my old CVs. Obviously the Klipsch are on a whole different level and the detail and accuracy is much better. Demo night was a lot of fun, and I intend to do a repeat performance again tonight. A nice added touch on the RC-62 is that it has an adjustable screw so you can angle the speaker significantly up or down to point into the listening area. My TV is over 5' tall, and I couldnt angle my old center speaker as much as I would have liked, but that isnt the case with the Klipsch. I have the back raised a full two inches and it still sits stable without a hint of it wanting to slide.
IndyKlipschFan
Friends do not let friends do BOSE... If your really gonna throw em away, consider them for garage speakers.... If not, hook em up to a big amp and fry those babies too... you would not want someone to discover them later, thinking they are "superior" speakers... LOL
Cal Blacksmith
You could just plug them into the wall till they smoke! How much 60 cycle audio can you stand?[]

Seadog
Congrats! and Welcome to the forum. I've had three similar nights. One in 1985 when I brought home my first Klipsch (KG4s), then years later with my Cornwalls (up all night - almost a religious experience listening to Pink Floyd DSOTM for the first time with Cornwalls), and once again a little over a year ago when I got my Khorns. BTW, drunken 1am rants are fairly common around here []
