Due to job issues,I'm regretfully having to sell off my main listening gear. I'll still have a den system. So here's the for sale list,I plan to list it on Audiogon also.

VRD's,purchased in August 2005. They are in minty condition. I'm picky about taking care of my stuff. Price $2000 with tubes. Output tubes are Ei type II's very hard to find,I paid $200 for a quad recently, plus a quad of EH Kt-88's from Doug's Tubes. Small tubes are Amperex Beckman and Amperex Bugle Boy 12ax7's purchased from Brent Jesse. The Rectifer tubes are Phillips Mullard England,I paid $150 for the pair. I also have the JJ small tubes that came with the amps. It saddens me to sell these. But my job situation recquires me to sell.

Blueberry Preamp MKI model, with cabinet. I bought it as a refurbished unit last summer.I prefer to sell it with tubes. $1000. This does not have the creme option and you can not add the creme option. It's in MINT condition.

Tubes are Mullard 10M,Amperex 6DJ8 Pinch Waist,Mullard 12AT7's and I have a pair of Telefunken 12AT7's that will be included.

VPI HW-19 MKIII Turntable $1100 in Minty condition, oak base,it has a Rega RB300 Incognito wired tonearm with Dynavector 10X5 Cart which is included and a heavy weight and VTA adjustment and delrin(sp?) record clamp and a tall VPI dustcover. I will not ship TT. I do have the VPI box though. But I will not ship.

Chorus II's with Dean G. crossover mods. $750 condition is C8.0 very nice to excellent condition. consective serial numbers,Oiled walnut, all edges are sharp,no major scratches or dings,on the very bottom on the riser on one speaker is a 1/4 dime sized nick in the vaneer and on the top of one speaker is a 1 inch long gauge, but it does not distract fom the overall appearance. I'm picky about condition and these Chorus II's are SWEET! email me for pictures. I'll try to post pictures on the forum also. Plus the tweeter diaphragms were replaced last year with Bob Crites replacements. All driver dust caps are perfect. I will not ship these beautiful speakers.

I'm in Gastonia,NC 20 miles south of Charlotte or 4 hours north of Atlanta. I drove 6 hours to Virgina Beach to buy these Chorus II's.

Also a HH Scott 310E tuner in C9.0 condition, refurbished by NOSValves with Scott cabinet. But the price is high. I plan to stick to my guns on pricing on this one. It's really hard to find.Tubes are Telefunken and Scott branded it works like a champ and considered as the home version of the famed HH Scott 4310.

$1300

Cheers,

Robert

Robert,

This really sucks since I know how much you love your system. I hope your not being rash about the need to sell. I know someone else that did the same thing and a month or so later said it was a major mistake because he ended up not needing the money.

So sorry to see this thread Rob. Best of luck in the future. I hope things turn around quickly.

I may have a buyer for your Choruses. Unfortunately he lives up here but I'll put him in touch with you and maybe you guys can work something out. I guess what I'm trying to say is.................first dibs on the speakers.

Robster -

Sorry to hear about your dilemma. I hope you are doing the right thing here. I wish you luck with your situation, and hope it turns around for you in a positive way.

I know that I am seeing this thread a bit late, but I would like to get in line for the VRDs. Obviously, this is only if everyone who has expressed interest so far ends up bailing on them - which I believe is highly unlikely.

I will pm you if needed, but in the meantime, I will think good thoughts for you.

Chuck
