garymd
A couple approached me in the thrift store wondering if I was interested in buying their albums. I stopped by their house to look at them and overall they're in pretty good shape. Most are excellent, some not so great but all very playable. They also have a bunch of Beatles LPs they're selling separately but I might buy those if the price is right. Most of the Columbia LPs are original 2-Eyes and the majority of the LPs were bought when the albums first came out. I can probably get all of them for about $30. I'm not interested personally but I'll be glad to pick them up and hold them for someone local or I can put you in touch with the seller. There are just too many for me to ship and it wouldn't be worth the cost anyway. garymd
I know.....I know. After the deal I got from that other guy who approached me at the thrift shop, I always look before I say no.[] Edit: I promised them I'd ask but suggested they take out an ad in the pennysaver. Me Loves Khorns
Are you, or anyone near you, going to Hope? If so, I will buy them. I live in Texas, so obviously driving up there would be out of the question. Let me know if you could bring them there. Thanks
3dzapper
Gary, If they are available, I could use the Clapton, Stones and Bob Seeger. Rick

garymd
Sorry guys but it's all or nothing and they must be picked up. Nobody I know of is going to Hope except Larry who is already on the road.
colterphoto1
Is Mike L going to Hope? Maybe he'd pickup and split them up? For $30 I'm sure those of us wanting a few titles could make it worth his while.... Michael
Mike Lindsey
Unfortunately not going to make it to Hope this year. I misread the post and apologize. Next.... Mike
Me Loves Khorns
Any idead how much it would cost to have them shipped. I have no idea.
Allan Songer
About a dollar a piece if properly packed via media mail would be fair, but getting someone to actually DO it is another question ENTIRELY!!!!
garymd
Sorry but I absolutely won't ship them. I would expect you could ship them FedEx for about $50 or $60 but you'd be taking a HUGE chance unless someone spent a lot of time to find the right sized box(es) with good foam padding. That someone is NOT me. I'd be happy to put you in contact with the seller however I can honestly tell you the LPs aren't worth the trouble. Nice deal for $30 but not that great for $100 or more IMO. You have to understand that I see these LPs in local thrift shops for a buck or less every week. Not everyone has good thrift shops in their area. Gilbert
WHAT'S THIS! You won't ship? What's with that, it's only 30 or 40 packages and trips to the shipping depot. Come On Here Man! Okay, give me some contact info, and I'll snag a few. Thanx
Parrot
Okay, Gary, let me see if I have the details straight. You will sell each record for 29 cents, after cleaning on your VPI 16.5, ship in bulk to Allan, who will then repack individually and mail out for $1.00 each, and each is guaranteed satisfaction or double our money back? Aren't you sorry you ever brought it up?

fini
Gary, Are these still available?[] I ran into this thread doing a search. Three of my favorite albums were in that group: Bookends, Hermit From Mink Hollow and One Man Dog. The first is one of my very favs, great songs, stunning recording. The last two, not the best recordings but great music. Rundgren's whole catalog needs a serious remastering. The James Taylor LP has gotten the treatment a few times in the last 5 or so years, but still sounds like there's a blanket over the Khorns. Have you reconsidered shipping these??
