Jose R
Before I post these on Craigslist/Audiogon/eBay I wanted to offer them here: 1985 Cornwall IIs with cane grills in excellent condition. The label on one of the speakers is a bit faded but readable. And, unfortunately the label on the other is torn making the serial number unreadable. I am asking $950.00 obo. The speakers are located in NYC for easy pick-up for anyone in the tri-state area. I am willing to ship, but understand depending on the shipping location the cost will run the buyer from $150 to over $200. (BTW, apologies for the color-cast of the above photos. Been testing out Adobe's Lightroom with PE4.)
colterphoto1
I see, Birch Raw. A little sloppy with the staining on the backs... Did you buy these new, were they stained then or did you get them raw and do it? I don't think I've ever seen II's in cane grilles. Very cool Michael
Daddy Dee
Beauty, eh! What's your asking price?
Doc Robin
Mike look at the O real close looks like it is a B for Birch Raw. I may be seeing things but it looks like a faded B to me. Bill
Frzninvt
Colter, that is BR not OR look at the little nipple on top of the supposed "O" it is a B. Nicely finished Birch Raw Corn II's with Cane Grills.
KungFuNat
hey man, do those isolation platforms work well with the cornwalls? I have springy wood floors that i feel might be hurting my bass performance. the grammas seem to be a cheap and easy way to find out. cjones
Those Corns look mighty fine. I just sent you an email. Look forward to hearing from you.
colterphoto1
So BR in CWII's came with the mitred corners and nice veneer on the face frames. That gives a nicer finish than the butt jointed CW's in BR. M
SilverSport
The II's have miteres corners be they Heresys or Cornwalls...the originals have the boxed corners...at least my Heresy HBRs are boxed and my brother's HBR IIs are mitered...
