FS: LS FIN BLK #17 GRILL

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the compliments and advice. I love these speakers and am glad to see that others can appreciate them as well. My favorite use for them was at my daughter's wedding which we held in our back yard. We setup these speakers for the party outside and it was just incredible. People coming to the party could hear them clearly at I-20 which is half a mile away. (We are not in the city, so it was not a nuisanse)

The serial numbers are 351296991 and 351296992.

I am in Midland, Texas which is way west of West. We travel the state now and then so we can work something out the get the speakers to someone.

I am hoping to get $1500 for the pair, but will certainly entertain any offer.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can provide any more information,
Gene

So I'm guessing these have AL-4 crossovers, k-55-x mid driver, k-77-f tweeter?

What year are they?

If so, you could probally get more for them.

Thanks, everyone, for your help and encouragement. I am not sure what year they were made. The crossover is an AL-3. Not sure about all the components. Could probably look up the serial number if I knew how.

Does the audio site you suggested have a free area, or do you have to be a member to post an item?

Still hoping someone will make an offer.

Thanks for the web site. An initial looks has me scratching my head, though. I'll dig into it more when I have a few moments.

Road trip to Dallas sounds like fun. Will we be mounting them on a bike or a car? I'll be sure to bring my acetylene torch. These will make some awesome road music. Can you picture it? lol And just think what a trip to the drive in movie will be like....

Thanks for the response,
Gene

I'll answer any questions as best I can. I have had the speakers in my system for a few years and really don't remember the original cost. I can rummage through receipts if it becomes an issue, but my memory suggests that it was considerably more then $1500. I did not buy them to resell, but for my own enjoyment (and I have certainly enjoyed them). Anyway, be assured I am just a guy who wants to sell his LaScala's, not an evil capitalist. (Well, I guess I'm one of those, too, but not at the moment).

Thanks all for the messages,
Gene

Folks on this board also need to know how much you paid for them, to make sure you do not make a profit in selling!!!!!!

Why is he not allowed to make a profit? [:^)]

Very nice looking. One would hope to make a profit on them (that's human nature), but you can only get what the market will bear. Mine look similar (grills, trim, etc) but are slightly older with the AL networks. I paid a little less than your asking price. Some thought it might have been a little high, but those look to be in great shape.

It becomes more of a rarity to find them for $400-$800 like happened for a while around here.

Are you suggesting that $800 would be a more fair price? [:$] Makes me sad, but I don't want to take advantage of anyone, either. I will certainly consider any reasonable offer. They currently sit in a corner of the living room and I have caught my wife eyeing them in an evil way.

Thanks,
Gene
