colterphoto1
In bad hair no less. There must be a reason that Buddy Rich is the hero and mentor to such modern greats as Carl Palmer and Ian Paice! Just keep your chops. Remember it's muscle memory. Keep practicing..... Michael

Bonzo
I used to think it was fun, but what's the point anymore? OMG!!! http://www.drummerworld.com/Videos/buddyrichsticktrick.html Those were my sentiments when I went to a Bobby Rock clinic. Figured I might as well use my sticks for kindling! Somewhere I have "Battle of the Drums" on vinyl, Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa, awesome! They, Max Roach and Joe Morello, the fathers of modern drumming! colterphoto1
I sat about 15 feet from Carl Palmers kit about a month ago. He kept talking about Buddy Rich. Very obvious influence- he even did the rims and sticks solo part- very cool. M
