jcmusic
Does anyone have a matched quad of either of these tubes they might want to part with? The prices online are just way to much, and ebay you never know. Jay
WPM
Jay, Check out the website below. It's where I go for all my tube needs. Hope it helps. William http://www.dougstubes.com/el84.htm
mark1101
If you can use EL-84s then I highly recommend the JJ EL-84s. Cheap and fantastic sounding. Punchy, crisp. Almost identical to the NOS Telefunkens that are priced way out there.
scott0527
7189 are hard to come by but reasonably priced EL84's are all over the place aren't they? Make sure you can use the EL84. Some amps that were designed for 7189's shouldn't be run with EL84's. I can't remember why exactly. Higher plate voltage on the 7189 I think were needed for some designs. A Fisher amp I have is that way.
jcmusic
Yes scottie, you are correct higher voltage or something like that. I have some cheap EL84's in it now, Craig just finished it so now it's time to find some nicer tubes. Jay

Are they actual EH brand EL84M or Russian Military surplus? Craig
jcmusic
Craig that would depend on what they are, and how they tested. Give me a call. Jay
