Actually, for the nintendo fans, there was a noticeable lack of gadgets this time. And it seems somewhat hard to say the beginning chase scene wasn't memorable. In the least, Daniel Craig is an improvement over Pierce Brosnan. And could Duke really say no to Eva Green? But if you snoozed, you lose.. M did say she missed the cold war days. coda
Aaaaahhh, Coda ... I can see your a True fan ..... c'mon ..... Nooooooo nekked girls in the intro ......... that was enuff to ruin it for me .....[] Casino Royale was the first Bond book written by Ian Fleming, this film starts back from the beginning to see how he made "00" status. From there it goes in a new and different direction with a darker, more brutal Bond that is closer to Sean Connery than Roger Moore, but stands on its own as maybe a more believeable character. That it didn't go horribly wrong is probably why I'll give it some credit. After the intro I thought maybe this is the beginning of the end. I expect now Daniel Craig will be around for a few more sequels. Probably the best bond film since the 1960s IMO, I would not be surprised if some will say the best Bond character ever. expect a different look with the credits intro perhaps next time. . http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2695221724629901819 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=9078135433851233052

st. patrick
kinda gotta agree with the duke. sort of a so-so flick. nice scenery, couple nice cars, but plot was messy and not really cohesive. ok entertainment, but not great cinema, nor destined to be a classic. agree craig is better than recent bonds. jmho, ymmv, yada yada

This is one of my favorite comdies of all time. This movie is hilarious. I was so happy when this came out on DVD. It was ahead of its time although not perfect it had 5 directors also Peter Sellers quit before it finished hence the dream sequence. You can see much of Austin Powers in this film but this was a James Bond spoof made before there were "Bond Movies". Here is a pic of my favorite Bond Girl Joanne Pettet. The new Casino Royale tried to set itself apart from the comedy so they cut John Cleese as Q from the movie which was a big mistake IMO.
