Cal Blacksmith
Everyone. Thanks for the inquiry and good wishes. My home internet service is less than optimal, to say the least, so I dontlog on much these days. The surgery as I said went well and I had an unknown herniarepaired which caused more pain than the surgery I went in for. I am now 11days out and things are getting better. I dont have the endurance I had beforethe surgery as now if I walk ¼ mile I am wiped out but that will get better astime goes on. All together I have lost 31#s since the surgery and I am only alittle hungry most of the time. I am still on a liquid diet (and will be foranother 10 days!) so the eating is none too exciting around here. I will stillbe on liquids on Thanksgiving so that holiday is shot. I have a doctor appointment tomorrow for a 2 week post opcheck up and I expect all to go well there. I find that with allthe TV watching I am doing, I am watching more cooking shows. GO FIGURE! Ihave gathered everything necessary to make some blueberry muffins and will doso in the morning. Even though I cant eat them, the son and wife love them andit will be something different to do rather than watching the tube. I have also gathered the pieces for an audio shootout. Ihave a pair of H1s and some JBL 4312s, the HK 630, a Yamaha CA600 integratedamp with a CT400 tuner and a Concert 1.1 receiver to mix and match. I will probablyhook up the B&O 1900 TT to each and see what happens. I think there are alot of under rated units out there left over from the 70s stereo wars and newblood for the beginner can be a good thing. More later as the dog of an internet connection I haveallows. Wayne

IndyKlipschFan
Wayne.. Congrats on getting through it with no infections too. (great news) The hernia thing is tricky.. walking is your best friend... When your ready for it.. 2-3 weeks after hernia surgery just walk a little... stretch SLOWLY after 6-8 weeks.. keep limber, as much as possible. ( In a pool etc etc is great.) Go slow... Were thinking of you, and wish you the best too.
