Speedball
So the wife and I head out of town for a day long drive and not 15 minutes from where we live is a commercial area with warehouses and one of them has a big sign out front, "Cables for Less". When we got back home I punch it in the computer and bang, http://www.cablesforless.com/. Maybe I should have stopped by to take a look to see what a cable maker really does. Heck, maybe since I am practically a neighbor they would make me a good deal on something. [H] Sure, Klipsch is here in town but does anyone have any other really neat, maybe high end audio related companies near their home? Daddy Dee
Well, in Arkansas, there is Klipsch. Other somewhat interesting audio gear manufactured in Arkansas is Electro-Voice in Morrilton and Sonicaps in Hot Springs. There is something else jangling in my memory, but can't access it for the moment.
flannj
Shure was located in Evanston (just north of Chicago) for years. It was a pretty big facility, in 2003 they moved their headquarters a couple miles northwest to Niles IL. I don't know how much manufacturing they still do in the states. (Athough not audio related one of my, and probably your, favorite products are made in the suburb just next to my home. Weber Grills, Palatine IL.)
