Chicago_Pete
Thanks guys, here are some examples from the plinth builder. I sent him a deposit to get started but he moves pretty slow. Mine will be all one type of wood.

joessportster
hey pete if the guy falls thru shoot me the plans i may be able to hook you up with something, from what i see there it is a straight forward design, no sure i can get exotic woods here locally but im sure i could find some, we could work out a deal on that other item we have discussed i really liked that first plinth with the contrasting colors Joe
kev313
Pete - That looks like a Loricraft clone, but for the Thorens as opposed to the Garrard. Any info. on the construction?

Kev, he builds them for the 301 as well but is a total flake on communication.Your choice of exotic woods, somewhere around the $400 dollar mark. Kudret
I personally prefer the original black SME plinth with round edges, but I couldn't fine one at a reasnable price. I wouldn't mind this one either []
Mike Lindsey
I'm somewhat partial to mine, which was made to handle 12" SME arms... []

Mike Lindsey
Mike, thats a great looking plinth. Did you build it yourself? Unfortunately, I did not. It was built by a fellow named Jean Nantais, who was responsible for the longest running thread on Audiogon (Building high-end tables cheap at Home Depot). Jean rebuilt the table and had a cabinet maker friend build the plinth. It was not cheap and I may have overpaid, but I couldn't be happier with this table. Thank you for the compliment.
