fini
Soundscape, in Santa Rosa, CA may be the only Klipsch dealer on the west coast to carry all four current Heritage models (Heresy III, Cornwall III, La Scala II, and Klipschorn), all set up and ready to play! The owner, Marc Silver, is a very nice, knowledgeable guy, who doesn't mind customers coming in, hanging around, BSing with the staff. It's got an old-time barber shop feel, without all the hair on the floor. He also carries a lot of tube gear, Home Theater stuff (incl. design and install staff), vinyl rigs, great repair shop, constantly changing used stuff (bought my Dyna MK IVs from him). Good deals, and they'll match prices, too. They'll ship, and they have a good website, too: http://soundscapeav.com/ No affiliation here, I just thought supporting a dealer who invests that much money and effort should be talked up a bit. Moderators dtel Posted January 7, 2008 Moderators Share Posted January 7, 2008 Nice Fini, that's what we need more of, real audio dealers not more big generic stores.
Islander
Nice website. Did you notice that Klipsch speakers are not listed among "conventional" speakers, but among "esoteric". Cool! Also, he seems to be selling original La Scalas, not La Scala IIs. Could it be that the website hasn't been updated for a couple of years? You know how the west coast is always 'behind the times' []

joshnich
Wow, I had no idea that there was a place within 500 miles that displayed Heritage! Ill have to stop by there and buy something. One needs to support that kind of behavior! Josh
jheis
Soundscape is a very laid back place. The last time I stopped by, I wandered around for a good 10 - 15 minutes by myself before I saw another human being! Even after they noticed a potential customer in the store, they were more interested in talking heritage than actually trying to sell me anything. Good shop.
