retrosonic
Hi guys. it looks like I can opick up a pair of Heresey IIs locally for a good price. Question: What about the Surrounds? Since these are at least 20 years old, do the surrounds normally rot out like other speakers? thanks! Mark
Frzninvt
No, they are coated pleated material and will far outlast foam.
Cal Blacksmith
Yep as been said, the surrounds are not foam and hold up quite well. I have a pair of H1 and H2s, Fort'es, Quartets, Cornwall 2s and others and none of the surrounds have a problem at all.
oldbuckster
Yup, Heresy II's make good surround speakers ! .......................... ooops, that's not what you meant !!!!!!!!
retrosonic
Thanks to all for the replies. One more question: Is there a significant difference in performance between the Heresy IIs and the new Heresy 3 ?? There is a huge price difference and I'm just wondering if its worth it, since the speaks will be used with an EICO HF81. Thanks! oldbuckster
You will like either on TUBES ................ 2's are nice, 3's are better ....... The Heresy on Tubes are very nice indeed !!!!!!!
SilverSport
there is a big difference between Heresys, Heresy IIs and Heresy IIIs...the IIIs have a lot more bass than the other two...I have listened to Heresys with my EICO HF-81 and it sounds wonderful! fenderbender
If you can get a good deal on H2's....Klipsch parts dept sells an upgrade package that will for all intents turn them into to H3's...I think it's $275 per speaker.....still much less than a new set of H 3's
retrosonic
Bill, how did the Heresy 2s sound with the HF 81? Was there enough bass for Rock music? Thanks, Mark
