fenderbender
I bet the bass would really tighten up if you used some Iso feet and and a massive plinth...also Cardas interconnects.......[6] Pretty cool huh
Mallette
It does work. It was my first horn loaded speaker. I made it with a Dixie cone from school where they served milk in cones that fit into re-usable bases. With a straight pin needle you could play 78's quite well. Never tried an LP... jacksonbart
I have used a sharpened tooth pick attached to a paper cone. Given my experiance I always wondered why people wax poetic about vinyl.
oldbuckster
If you have tracking problems you could fill the cone with crushed ice, add some flavor, and when your done playing music you have an ice cone !!

Cool that it works though Hey, I was about 12 years old and 78's were being used for frizbee's and "Pull!" It is telling that I was interested in them at all... Now I have several hundred pounds of them I cannot part with fearing one might be the only existing copy of some poor artists work.Dave
