colterphoto1
Richard Wright, Pink Floyd keyboardist extraordinaire, passed away today at age 65 from cancer. He's going to play that Great Gig in the Sky. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Wright_(musician)

kaiser SET say
He and Syd will be striking up some new tunes[] It was obviously late detection as I did read his time after diagnosis was very short. Another great set of keys gone[]
Bonzo
Very sad indeed! He, and the rest of Pink Floyd, took rock music to a whole different level! (Not sure what I did to make the letters so big? It was unintentional I assure you!)
colterphoto1
Just watching David Gilmour 'Remember that Night' from Royal Albert Hall. The usual bunch of Pink Floyd schooled guys are in attendance, with Rick Wright on keys and backing vocals. Check out track 20 when Rick and Dave do duet vocals on Echoes. This particular track is a favorite of mine and shows Mr. Wright's contribution to the band spectacularly.
BusaDude
Been a long time Floyd fan... Fortunate enough to have seen them play several times in the late 80's and early 90's during the "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" and "The Division Bell" tours... Will definitely be missed. fenderbender
We can still listen to him now, we just now have to wait to listen to him live again. That will be hard to do with worms and maggots eating your ears and face!
colterphoto1
Check the DVD 'Live from Pompeii' for more great Richard Wright tunes. And if you haven't picked up Ummagumma in a while, now's a great time for side three of the LP set (bands 1-4) Sysyphus featuring Rick Wright. I think I'll drag out Relics and the soundtrack for the film More today. Got it all on LP. woohoooo Thanks for the tunes Rick. 'Point me at the sky'...
