  1. Selling a pair of Cornwall CD-BR. $750. These have a walnut stain on them, with the trim around the front that looks great. The best looking style of Cornwalls I have seen. Speakers are in great condition with only very minor scratches. Grills and risers are included. Can't ship, so you must pick up or arrange your own shipping from Boca Raton Florida 33428. This is the only picture I have at the moment, but I will post more if someone is seriously interested. The picture shows the speakers with another Cornwall (on it's side) for a center channel, which is not for sale. $750 for the pair.

So he ened it to sell it at the current price, but then told me just to pay the $230. He said he ended it early for me. Thats the only thing he told me about it. What do you think? ---------------- It's simple......If the seller said he'd accept $230 now and the rest later, then you should pay up. If you are absolutely certain the seller was "just being nice" and gave you the sub for $230, then you shouldn't send him anything. Notify Ebay if the seller threatens to post a negative feedback comment unless you pay him. I think it's against their rules.
  3. This was a completed Ebay transaction. The seller "ended the auction early to sell to the high bidder(s) at current bid price." Here's the URL. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3275&item=5709984088&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
  4. Wait a minute.....There's got to be something missing from this story. Why did the seller lower the price to $250, then to $230 after closing the auction at $300? Did you ask him for a better price after the auction eneded? I get the feeling that the two of you discussed some arrangements and there was a misunderstanding somewhere along the way.
  5. Be patient. Fortes in that condition are worth more than $625, and someone will eventually pay your price. The address below leads to a pair that just sold on Ebay for $1200!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=61378&item=5711554945&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW GOOD LUCK!!!

  7. First.... "yeah, the subwoofer always has been hooked up through the pre outs on the denon." Do you really mean "pre outs", as in the receivers preamp outputs, or are you referring to the actual subwoofer output? You should be using the subwoofer output.....just want to be sure. Now..... "Go into system setup menu on your Denon, go into channel level setup, set test tone to manual, move down to test tone start and push left arrow to start test tone. A screen will come up with all your speakers and subwoofer on it. Move arrow down to SW"......and adjust the subwoofer output level. "What happens when you adjust the output level to the subwoofer? Is there a noticable change in the output." Try this and let us know what happens.
  8. "The ONLY things plugged into the back of the denon is 1 SPDIF cable into coax1 for the cable box. 1 SPDIF cable into COAX2 for the DVD player." Do you have a cable running from the Denon's subwoofer output to the SVS input, or are you using the speaker wires to run the sub?
  9. Does anyone know if/how the damaged corner can be repaired?

  11. Thebes, Try "Sugar Daddy" by Tyrone Davis. It's track number 8 on the free blues sampler disc you got at fye. The girls are sure to ask "so, you want to be our sugar daddy?" Just say yes, buy them something nice, and take your viagra. Good luck.
  12. I have the sub you're looking for....a Klipsch SW-12 series II for $200, plus actual shipping cost. It works perfectly but there are some scratches on the black cabinet.
  13. You might want to contact Craig Marsh at VP Stereo. The "VP" stands for vintage pioneer, and he can probably help you find an HPM-100. You can send e-mail to doesmarsh@wpcs.net or call him at 417-256-9812. By the way.....I bought 12 HPM-100s from a guy in Louisville, Ky. last year for $150!! Craig at VP stereo bought some of the parts and was very easy to deal with. Good luck!!
