  1. Try Elusive Disc. Get on their mailing list and they E-Mail you at least once a week or so with their new releases, or just to let you know what's back in stock.
  2. I use a Denon 3803 as a pre-pro, and a Denon 3910 DVD player so maybe the setup is similar. In the 3910s setup menu under Audio set the Audio Channel to Multi Channel then configure your speakers. Then in the Etc. part of the setup menu you have to set the Player Mode to Audio to play the DVD-A track. On the 3803 to play the DVD-A track you have to push the Ext.IN button. I'm not sure if the 3805 is the same or not, but with my setup when I put in Yes Fragile or any other DVD-A it automatically plays the Hi-Rez surround track.

    Fantastic 4

I took my 9 year old to see it a couple days ago. He really liked it. I was ok with it, it entertained me for a couple hours, which is all I ask of a movie.
  4. To correctly play the high resolution (HiRez) track of a DVD-A disc you have to have 6 cables running from your dvd players 5.1 outs to your receivers 5.1 ext.ins. Playing a DVD-A disc through an optical cable will only play in DD 5.1 or DTS. While the DD 5.1 or DTS track will sound pretty good they're not as good as the HiRez track.

    Hide and Seek

I have to agree with Amy, the first half was better than the rest. If the girl would have just answered one question truthfully it would have saved a lot of trouble. Who is Charlie, where is Charlie, is Charlie here now? That girl had too much on the ball not to at least tell her friend the psychiatrist what was going on. I hate it when a movie tries so hard to have a surprise ending that it has to manipulate every scene just to throw you off.

The trailer for "Stealth" also looked really good. "King Kong" (another good lookin flick) will be out this December in theatres. Go see War of Worlds. ---------------- Yeah, I have to agree with you, it did seem like they hurried the ending. They could have easily used another half hour or so to flesh out the ending more. Oh well, it was still a real good movie, maybe they will do an extended version for the DVD.
  7. I took my wife and 9 year old son to see it today. We all really enjoyed it. It had excellent special effects, and great sound. The bass in the movie was outstanding, I can't wait to hear it on my subs. My son didn't think it was too scary, he just thought it was a fun exciting movie, but he has never really been the skittish type. On a side note, they showed previews to three movies that look like they might be pretty good. The Island, King Kong, and a movie about the Brothers Grimm.
  8. Happy Birthday, and congrats on the amps. I really like the way Parasound amps mate with Klipsch. My wife bought me a Halo A-21 for our anniversary a couple years ago that I use with a Classic Parasound HCA-2205AT. I also use a HCA-1500A with a pair of Fortes. I'm very satisfied with Parasound amps.
  9. I thought it was an ok movie. It started out really good and stayed good until they threw in the sub plot about his family. That didn't work for me, it seemed like they were trying to cram in too much and it really took away from the more interesting hostage crisis. Still thought it was worth a rent.

    Batman Begins

Saw it yesterday with my wife and 9 year old son. I never was much of a Batman fan so I wasn't expecting too much. We just thought it would be something to do on a boring rainy day and we had already seen everything else worth seeing. Boy, what a pleasant surprise. I thought it was an excellent movie. It was by far the best Batman movie to me. I was surprised how many pretty big stars were playing smaller roles in the movie.
  11. I want to check it out, I saw a preview of it and it looked pretty interesting. I saw Christian Bale do an interview a couple weeks ago and he said he lost 63 pounds while he was making that movie, then had to turn around and gain 100 pounds to do Batman Begins. That is really being dedicated to your work.
  12. I sure hope they find a way to broadcast it, live or taped and in HD.

Just where in Arkansas do your inlaws live? If you haven't figured it out I was born and raised there, and I've been a lot of places (from California, to Boston, to Montreal) and I've never had anyone (that speaks english) not be able to understand me. Maybe the real problem is with you! LOL ---------------- Hey man sorry if I offended you, I was joking. The difference in our accents has always been a running gag in our families. I have quite a few relatives from Ark. My dad and his family are from there. And both my wife and my first wife were from there too. In fact my wife and I got married at her moms house in the hills somewhere down around the Fort Smith area. Once again sorry if I offended, and while I could never live in Ark. as you can see I don't mind coming down and stealing a woman every now and then.

I listen to music almost always. ---------------- I know what you mean, my 2 channel setup and computer share a room so whenever I'm on the computer I'll have an album or cd playing. Right now I'm listening to Humble Pie Rockin The Fillmore lp.
  16. Black Sabbaths 1st lp. I've been listening to this album for 35 years and it still might be my number 1 feel good album. Always seems to put me in a good mood.

The last time I rode it I had trouble getting off it when the ride was over, my back and neck hurt like hell.
  18. My son gets out of school tomorrow, so we will be heading down to Cedar Point one day next week. My son's 9 years old and he's finally tall enough to ride all the coasters. I can't wait, my wife, son and I love the coasters. I don't care as much for the spinning rides as I did when I was younger, so I usually sit those out and let them ride. The last 2 years we went the dragster was broke down all day, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's working this time.
  19. I watched it for a while tonight, excellent HD video and good audio, but I've never cared much for the Eagles music. Plus I'm still pissed off at Joe Walsh for leaving the James Gang.
  20. My wife and I rented the unrated version a couple of nights ago. I thought there were a few grins in the movie, but the hot puppet sex might have been one of the funniest scenes I've ever seen in a movie. I havn't heard my wife laugh that hard in a long time. Worth a rent, but only the unrated version.
  21. I have 3 that I bought over 20 years ago, The Dark Side Of The Moon, Aqualung, and Led Zeppelin II. They still sound as good today as they did when I got them. Actually better since I have a better TT now than I did then.

  23. My wife, 9 year old son and I saw it today too. There were only 7 or 8 other people in the whole theater, just the way I like it. Excellent movie, but it's going to sound a whole lot better on my setup.
