  1. Jay, what is a K-Stack? I've been gone so long I know feel out of touch..[:$]
  2. DO IT AND DON'T LOOK BACK! I had the very same set-up for a while and updgaded to the RC-7,, then the RF-7's. Amazing difference!
  3. Good morning OB! I hope you've been well. I read a few times a week but rarely post anymore. You better watch out, you're over 10,000 posts. The options are: 1. They will hire you[] 2. See #1.
  4. Excellent, I'll give him a call on Monday!
  5. Thanks Bill! I had asked before and lost the info in the recesses of my mind. Dean did my RF-7's and RC-7's. Again, Thanks!
  6. Hi gang! I've been absent for some time now. Other things have run up the list that have taken my time. I've become a pattern day trader which while it has been fun, it's exhausting. Research at night is seemingly endless. Anyway, I do miss the great group of people here! All other financial message boards I've been on are full of A-holes mostly yelling and screaming...yuch.. Last night, I took the time to listen to some music, yeah! Honestly, it's been a while. Can someone direct me to where I can get crossover upgrades and midranges for Forte II's. I have one mid range that breaksup on CERTAIN songs, but some CD's never once. I think I'll just replace the driver. I would like to upgrade the crossovers as well. Thanks in advance folks! I need to take time to "smell the roses" more often!
  7. We took our son and daughter to an open casting call the other day. This is a talent agency that recruits and develops talent. While our son is perfect for this type of stuff, our daughter isn't. They of course turned her down, but gave our son one of 20 spots out of about 150 kids that auditioned. While waiting, we filled out the forms and on the questionaire one question was "what do the parents do for a living". I thought that was odd, but, we filled it out. On hind site, loking around the room, ironically we most likely were one of the 20 people that could afford their ongoing training classes.. LOL! We dropped it. But with or without that, our son is outgoing and talented. We may try again with a less "high pressure" agency again.
  8. I'm smart enough to know that I'm not smart enough to pass " no stinkin test". I'm also smart enough to know my wife would kick my butt if'n I tried!
  9. The Balvanie 15 year old for me....no damn music though, house full of kids for a sleep over.
  10. History all over the place between Kansas and UNC. Because of this history, I like Kansas...not a big Bill Self fan though even if he is a very good coach. Tyler Hansbrough played like a man amung boys the other day. Man, dad Kansas get lucky. Had Davidson been able to hit a few more shots....had Curry taken the last shot I thought he had a great chance of getting fouled which I think they would have called. GO HEELS!
  11. Nice set-up! I went through a ton of stuff with mine including running them with a Yamaha RX-Z1. Now I use that as a pre/pro and bought some vintage Yamaha M-80 amps that push 260 watts per channel. Those babies REALLY smoothed out the responce and can handle the impedance dips. I now have mine set-up in a very bad room, but am married to this room until we move. It's funny how much tweaking it takes to get the RF-7's to really shine.
  12. GO HEELS! Remember, Davidson almost beat the heels and we won by 4. Davidson lost to Duke by 7 and UCLA by 12. They are the hottest team in the tourney right now!
  13. When Duke took the lead I got sick to my stomach....I swear, I'm still nausiated....EXCELLENT CLOSING....This time THEY CHOKED!!! The Ref let them play for the last 30 minutes of the game, but dang the first 10 minutes they were calling fouls if you even thought about fouling. The only thing I wish ESPN would have done was showing more crying heart broken Duke fans at the end of the game....My wife wouldn't let me call any of her co-workers...I was just going to offer my condolances[]
  14. It is funny Tarheel. There's a person who give anesthesia there that will only wear Tarheel head gear! When we travel to do something for Duke, I wear my tarheel gear, you know just to be fair and balanced! OB I know Duke has a s-load of New Yorkers and I know the Tarheels do as well! Also, I'm sorry I didn't bid on your gear. The good news is I bought your Porche! Please send it common carrier!
  15. Tarheel, I'm going to drink some Ensure and Red Bull to get my energy/heath kick going. I'll also be sporting a nice pair of Depends so I won't miss the action! My wife is Chief of a medical department at Duke, and couldn't even get tickets!
  16. Ahhhhh! It's good to be back!!!! The only problem I see with NC is our weakness at point guard. Before anyone jumps, Lawson isn't as sharp and it looks as if that was a pretty major ankle sprain. I once had one like that (maybe worse) that took almost 6 months to heal. The doctor commented that I would have been better off breaking my leg. Anyway, if Lawson can get back into the groove, we're golden. If not, I don't think we'll get to the final four. GO HEELS!!!!
  17. I've not posted here in a long time and just started the other day. This thread, I think, we can all understand. At another website I've been at, too much, there is a guy who does "Play Overs" for guitar. He live in LA and is disgusted in the music industry. He has commented that "we've all heard him before" but will not tell anyone who he is for privacy issues. Anyway his comment is that the recording industry is giving contracts to these kids with "the look" and not so much with the talent. The lions share of his work comes from "clean up" work in the studio. Basically, when one of these "no talent" bands records and the guitar track stinks, the studio will call him in to rerecord the track. He said, most of the time the band never even knows he's done it. He said he's seen the kids face look like "wow, I'm good" when hearing the guitar track. Point is, theres a TON of crap out there. What I find is that it seems a group will record one good song on a CD and the rest will be utter CRAP! In the past it seemed like artists wanted to record a good quality CD/Album from start to finish...something you could put on and enjoy, not struggle through to get to the good song.
  18. I LOVED my 20's! My ex-wife now owns them, which is OK! She's a Klipsch fan as well[]
  19. My gawd, on a 10 weight fly rod....that was one nice catch!!!!
  20. I'm pushing these Forte II's with a Vintage Marantz 2385. This unit has seperate Treble, Bass, and Mid controls. I do turn the mids back to soften the impact! I do find it depends on the CD though. Every CD I put on I have to re-adjust these levels due to the speakers sensitivity.
