    PS3 question

Have you checked out your audio settings in the "settings" menu? There are tons of options in there, perhaps you've got something set up at a lower resolution and can change it.
  2. I missed this as well. Glad the news was all positive. Expecting the pics of fini in a nurses outfit sometime soon......

    PS3 question

Update: I contacted Sony who has authorized a service repair and have shipped me a box to send the unit back to them in. Prior to authorization they wanted me to verify that 1, the system had been updated and 2, that I had performed the, "restore system defaults." I had and since neither worked they authorized the return. Thanks again.

    PS3 question

See my first post. I tried that to no avail. I'm going to call Sony today to see what they have to say. I agree with you, Roger, it is a fantastic system!

    PS3 question

My PS3 is not recognizing any disks that are inserted into the machine. It does not appear to matter if said disk is a game, standard dvd or bd. I have gone through the entire menu and am unsure how to proceed before contacting Sony. Any thoughts? I performed a system update but that was of no help.
  7. Interesting. I would have pegged you more as a "Jack-n-Diane" type of a guy.
  8. We've used these two in the past:
  9. lol, it's for high school seniors ya shmuck
  10. It is a fun movie. One of my good friends did special effects for Ghostbusters. He did the blaster shots from their packs and the marshmellow man blowing up. I wonder if special effects people put their projects on their resumes. [] Jimmy: I did the slime dripping from the face of the Aliens in the movie "Alien" and was the guy dropping the shell casings for the sound guy. I wouldn't put Ghostbusters into any sort of top 10 list but it's a great movie.
  11. Thanks for the suggestions thus far. I will check those out this evening. colterphoto: We paid a fee for some sort of license that allows us to play movies and I would assume that includes music as well. oldtimer: Don't hold back! Being a smart-aleck myself, I aways enjoy a good chuckle. Let 'em rip!

Welcome back, Bill. Haven't seen you post in a while.
  13. I am in charge the annual, "Senior Banquet," at our church which honors the graduating senior class. We generally use a slideshow for a portion of the banquet and play music while the photos are displayed. I have been using the same music for the past three years and am looking to change things up a bit. I would love to hear any songs you care to suggest. Thanks! -David
  14. Confirmed. He was hospitalized for pnemonia last week. Best wishes to his family. I loved his performance in Ocean's 11. He was one of those comedians/actors that, even when acting serious, always brought a smile to my face.
  15. ....although many sites (including his publicist) denying his death. I'm not sure what to think?
  16. Glenn-Universal Remote makes great stuff. I have the TX-1000 and like it although it is a 2-handed remote. Every button is assignable so you have tremendous flexibility. Want the volume control on the right? No problem.... http://universalremote.com/product_detail.php?model=36

  18. I too will say a prayer for the Dtel family. I've missed your posts, Christy. You guys have had quite a year so far, haven't you? Best wishes for everyone.
  19. How about logical thinking (which comes before effective communication)? Lots of ways you could go with that... I like the CPR suggestion as well.
  20. Hey, congrats, Doc!! Does this mean that we can start referring to you as Mr. Microphone? [] Check yer pm's.
  21. Your theater is nothing short of spectacular. Everything just looks so.....sooo.........GOOD! Congrats!
  22. You and yours will be in my prayers tonight. Handing your child over to the team of white coats is one of the most difficult things a person can do. I wish you peace and comfort.
  23. [] Indy. Can I get credit for time served???
  24. I enjoy the dragsters. The guy who owns the pizza place we frequent also races the smaller version of the top fuel cars. I don't know the exact name/circuit but his brother died while racing. Lots of pictures up in the waiting area. I was referring to this: http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/p/82113/820952.aspx#820952 I'm sure you remember that lovely thread! []
