  1. Check with the guys on the Mcintosh forum on AudioKarma. Someone there will know.
  2. I'm certainly no attorney, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once... My thoughts are that it seems there would be some sort of expressed or at least implied warranty on the shingles. I mean, a manufacturer cannot just make and sell a product and then say they have no obligation for the product to perform correctly if used in a "reasonable" manner. In other words, if the homeowner used the shingles for some other purpose than to roof his home and they failed and caused a problem, the company should not have any liability, but if they were installed properly how can they just say sorry, not our problem. I would obviously retain a lawyer and pursue the company for all of the damages. I think the homeowner has a case. Just filing an insurance claim would be my last resort.
  3. You might also try: www.mcintoshaudio.com This is Statement Audio in Knoxville, TN. They service and sell used McIntosh equipment and parts.
  4. What Allan said. Any of the women he mentions are outstanding. I think Diana Krall gets so much ink because; She's is a goregous blond, she has a very seductive voice, her band is outstanding (Anthony Wilson is an outstanding artist in his own right), her Live in Paris DVD was a huge hit because of the recording quality, the songs are timeless,and...she's a goregous blond.
  5. Congrats...Those the ones in Virginia Beach? One owner, CWO's? They looked nice. If you need some time to break it to the wife, I could store them for you for a while. I'm just outside Baltimore. [] Don't worry, she will get over it and find something else to get on you about.
  6. Man I hope someone here got those. I have been watching them all week. Man they are beautiful...Someone on the forum please say they got them.
  7. Hey Andy, I would buy enough to re-cover my speakers from you. My grills on my Cornwalls are in great shape but I would not mind having some of the OEM grill cloth on hand just in case. Send me an e-mail if you decide to buy the cloth. []
  8. Wow, what does that thing do? I own an ADC Soundshaper II equalizer, but I have never heard of a video shaper. Somehting like a built in contrast / brightness / color temp GUI on today's tv's? Sorry I am no help, maybe someone else will chime in here.
  9. LMAO... Yeah, I do that to myself every time I make a major purchase of any kind. Think it is just a natural reaction to spending large sums of cash and hoping to heck the thing works as advertised and you like it, and your spouse likes it, and your friends don't tell you you are bonehead, etc, etc. All of which I am sure will be fine with your P-cats. I would love to hear them and I am sure you will be more than satisfied. Congrats.
  10. If only I still lived in Ft. Worth. You boys have a Shiner Bock for me. Those stingrays look awesome by the way.
  11. Got the bug now don't ya! I would go with what Budman said. Go get 'em bro.
  12. Andy, run a search on the forum for grill cloth and you will find several options, the most popular of which seems to be http://www.wendellfabrics.com/mellotone/standard.html. I saw you spoke to Bob Crites about your xovers. Did you order parts from him to re-do yours? Rob
  13. Cornman, thanks for the description. Think I may be spending some cash...And yeah, from what I have seen those are very famous last words.
  14. So I have my eye on a local Mc2105 and a C28...what set the McIntosh gear apart? Been thinking about acquiring some Mc equipment for a while, found these locally and would like to hear some more specifics if possible...
  15. Glenc1, welcome to the forum. I am not a tube owner (yet?) but there are a lot here who are and I am sure some of them will pipe up on this subject. I do know that 75 watts is more than enough to power most Klipsch, particularly the heritage models. What speakers are you using?

RCarlton, I think I watched it on that same black and white tube tv on a little cart with rabbit ears for antenna. I remember all those plays too... Just don't like to. It was a great series with some amazing ball players on both teams. Made me a baseball fan for life.

Thanks fini. Yeah, it feels pretty good. Been a while. I agree it is a great game. Played little league through high school and then coached my sons when they were young. Nothing like being at the ball park on a warm summer evening.

Been a Cardinals fan since I was a kid when my 4th grade teacher rolled a t.v. into class so we could watch the Cardinals and Tigers in 1968 series. Bob Gibson, Orlando Cepeda, Lou Brock, Curt Flood, Mike Shannon, Tim McCarver, Julian Javier... Great tradition as a baseball franchise. I was at the game two years ago when the Sox beat us. It was tough to watch. This was great to see them win in the new ball park.

Sorry Guys...can't resist, Congratulations to my St. Louis Cardinals...World Champs.
  20. It might actually be an incredible idea. I work for an auto manufacturer and we do it all the time in spring/summer. We call it guerrilla marketing. Buy mailing lists of potential customers with right demograpics from (numerous) companies who sell these all the time. Mail out direct mail marketing pieces, put up flyers or ads in college newspapers, local papers, classified papers, etc., set up at a: ball park parking lot, college campus, etc., etc. then turn the guys in the truck loose.
  21. Yep, that's the one. Sooo...based on age of the capacitors what do the experts say as to replacement / rebuilding of them? They sound great, just wondering. Thanks for the reply.
