you re right colin. now it depends on ignorance_is_not_bliss s budget and if he often uses the two pc at the same time. another solution for an activ equipment will be a switch wich is cheaper than a router and alow you to make some lan game party.but to share an internet connection it will be less effective.

be sure you sub is not too close to something like an electrical motor or anything that could disturb it. if the noise is still here, unfortunatly it s really the sub( amp or driver). i think the best is to call klipsch. if your sub is still under waranty do not open it simply return it.

be also sure all the plug are corectly hooked and clean. what is the kind of backround noise you are hearing? - it s always the same sound and very regular like a pure sinus wave - or its like a randomed sound

does the background sound on the sub happened even if there is nothing hooked to the promedia? the first step is to know if the sound comes from the promedia or from the pc (or portable media player or anything else) hooked to the promedia. if there is a noise even if nothing is hooked to the promedia, then it comes from the promedia

else you can just install the hard drive of one computer in the second one. the crossover cable is the easiest way to do what you want.

the rxv 350 should not does it 100w p channel... but how loud do you listen to music???? i ve a rxv 440 and only some SF1 and it s too loud for me before it begins to sound bad. a rxv 350 is more powerfull and the RF are more sensitive,... there is may be something wrong. or your going deaf else go for an onkyo, i ve listen to a grand integra with my poor SF1and it make them sound magical!!! i hope for you it s cheaper where you leave than in europe.

if the juppers are in place it shouldn t matter. the only rule is the - to the - and the + to the + be carrefull it works only WITH the juppers

when i bought my promedia i d like to buy them in usa because they are cheaper even considearing the shipping cost.an official dealer told me i will have issues with warranty because if i have a problem and send back my promedia, klipsch will see it comes from france and will send it back to me.because i should send it to my oficial dealer in france.and if i send it to my official dealer he will see he hasn t not sold it to me and will ask me to send it back to klipsch. well i m not sure i ve been clear enough... in a nutshell, if you do that you may have no waranty at all because klipsch and your dealer will say it s the other who should do the waranty. in an other hand if you buy some speaker and take care of them you should have no problems.

the synergy are very good speakers, but reference are better. if the extra money is not an issue go for the reference. else you will also be happy with the synergy.

i didn t said that you can run extra power to your speakers!!! i ve sais that you will never use it because it will be too loud. it s not the same thing. if you run 200W to 50W rated speaker they will be hurt if it last to much time. in a nutshell: if you have an amp that provide more power than your speakers can accept, there shouldn t be any problem if you don t use all the power of the amp. for example if your amp is 150wpc and your speakers are rated at 100, you may only use 30W of your amp(and with reference it will be loud;-D), and your amp will run cool because it can handle much more power.if some music need some extra power pic your amp will be able to provide it without clipping.

you don t have to be worry about the output power of the nad amp, it will hurt your ears before the amp began to hurt the speakers. i have some SF1 with a yamaha receiver "rated" at 65W per chanels and i really cannot use the 65W.at half volume it s already very loud, more is too loud for my ears. you cannot blow your speaker with your amp if you listen to what get of the speaker.

the ksw may not goes as deep as you wish.but the bass they provide are very fine. i ve listen to KSW12 and i own a KSW10. the amount of sound the KSW10 can provied with only 50w is amazing. i only wish it some Hz deeper. with a 12 or a 15 you cannot go wrong

you can use 2 sats for the center, so you will have real 7.1 using 2 sub for the lfe and 2 sats for the center for example. or 2 sats for the front center and 2 for the rear center... with some Y splitter and a good sound card that does 6.1 or 7.1 you can do almost whatever you want

if you can the best should be to listen to both. if i were you i will go for SF3 because its bandwith is larger(it goes deeper). but it only depends on you. you should really do an A/B test with those two pair of speaker.

if the speaker you want are smaller than your room and if you can let enought space to the port(if there is one) to breath, you can buy the speaker you want. if you really fear about too big speakers you can buy some RB instead of RF

are you enjoying the sound you get from your system? if you do, you shouldn t think so much why not making an A/B listening:with bi-wire and with only one wire. so you will know know what is the best

i live in france in paris but i m from clermont-ferrand in the center of france. i m a young network engeener.i install and set up some network equipments(cisco, alcatel, avaya,...) for big industries and some data operators.

of course a cable manufacturer will say to you that the cable should have the same lenght, so they sell more wire!! don t forget that if one wire is too long, what will you doo with the extra cable?you will place it behind something to hide it, it will act like a capacitor or a solenoid wich will degrade the signal.furthermore a cable act like an antena.the more long the cable is and the more interference you will get.
