  1. He's been working out. (Bet that wasn't it was it Karnack the Magnificent? )😀
  2. Sorry you feel that way. However, this main Forum is pretty much the same as No BS except: No politics or religion. Y'all, as a group, were much more relaxed on personal attacks in there than what is allowed here, here we/they really frown on personal attacks. Only 3 rules rules really: 1. No politics or religion 2. Attack an argument or opinion all you want, but no personal attacks; 3. Treat others how you would want to be treated. For us coloring book level people here is an example: OP: I think X because of Y. Sample Response No.1 (Good): I disagree with you on that. Let.me.get a sip of cocco (sans marshmallows) while I explain. I think you assumption that Y applies here is misplaced because.... Sample Response No. 2 (Bad) You are such a stupid (expletive deleated). Who cares what you think anyway? I bet you are a [fill in political party or ideology that is opposite of yours] based on that kind of (expletive deleted) up thinking.
  3. Are you inferring that Klipsch wanting to be PC is what led to the closing of No BS? Wasn't my understanding at all from the message that was sent to all of us. I agree with what you have said in the past, I'm not aware of any company sponsored forum that would allow an area (public or private) for members to discuss topics with the free reign they allowed. KGI was anything but PC in allowing that forum to exist. More so when you consider it was for the benefit of about six active members, and perhaps another six that were.less active (probably many, many more lurkers). I think it took balls for them to even let them give it a try. Some of the most thought provoking, informative and well reasoned arguments I have ever seen. It reminded me of a time when they taught rhetoric in school. Then about six months into it you gave friendly suggestions about how they might stay on course to ensure the sub-forum would continue on, a year ago to the day, you gave a strong plea that they stay on course. To no avail, the collective meandered along just as one might expect in a basically unmoderated sub-forum: high, low, up down and all around. My view is that it wasn't Klipsch trying to be PC that led to it shutting down, it was more of a case of "what in the hell were we thinking? This thing is liable to blow at any second."
  4. If you read this article http://wjla.com/news/nation-world/donating-to-relief-efforts you will see a line of Walmart trucks over a mile long waiting to load up with water. I'm a Walmart shopper for life now, as well as HEB.
  5. I found this article informative. http://wjla.com/news/nation-world/donating-to-relief-efforts I'm splitting between a family go fund me (3' of water, no insurance because realtor told them it " never has flooded there'" and that was probably true), United Way of TEXAS, National Red Cross and Catholic Relief Charties. Carl does your son have a Gofundme or is in need of anything? Travis
  6. Maybe you had in your subconscious a desire to remind us that Veteran's day was just around the corner?
  7. I heard Red Cross had some troubles a year or so ago, but has come back strong to correct them. Here is an article about charities, I don't know how accurate it is. http://deadline.com/2017/09/hurricane-harvey-charity-donations-warning-tips-1202157862/ @Jeff Matthews @CECAA850 do you know of local charities or national ones that are being touted as giving the most bang for the buck and in the right places?
  8. Unbelievable, even I can do it
  9. I have always been challenged in that regard. Along with spelling, proof reading, subject verb agreement and punctuation, oh and split infinitives.
  10. I was being facetious. But not to fear, the Texas Attorney General has issued a "strong warning." I would prefer to see lawsuits and fines paid. Texans are awesome, the best. Some of the people who do business here, not so much. Edit: and now I see I have it in wrong thread, I thought it was Hurricane Harvey thread. please donate to Red Cross.
  11. I'm not sure what the reason was as the post was not identified. It could simply be he made the common mistake if mixing up Labor Day with Memorial Day. This is bit one example of Taps for a real cause.
  12. Ever been to a funeral where that was played? Ever lose a friend or family member who qualified to have that played? I'm guessing not,
  13. Texas at it's best. http://www.businessinsider.com/price-gouging-in-texas-gas-prices-hurricane-2017-9
  14. Removed from Criticality Endangered and relisted as Extinct
  15. Cosmo Murphy who worked.Loft parties with Mancuso works with Klipsch, her husband runs a multi Khorn setup in the UK which I believe was judged loudest systen in UK? RIP Mr. Mancuso
  16. That is bery cool @Chad. You are pushing the boundaries of my limited uptake with every new improvement. I'm stiil stuck on making sure I press a trophy for thank you and a heart for like. Where's the BS icon?
  17. @CECAA850. VERIFIED!!! Local Emergency Management Coordinator Billy Ted Smith has confirmed that the bridge on US 96 (north of Lumberton) has collapsed. US 96 is closed into/out of Beaumont.
  18. So let's see, Rockport on Monday, and then pick up friends in Austin on Wed. And drive them back to their house in Houston, drive their daughter back to airport in Austin, football game last night with son, and Austin is out of gas. You can get all of the diesel you want, however. Starbuck cafe Americano
  19. We are out of gas in Austin. I'm so glad there isnt a shortage.

Great one to go to. Even years (at least back then) were in the Colosseum. So 80 was in LA, 81 was in South Bend, etc. I got to go in '80 through '86 in LA. USC had a Loooong dry spell after that.
