  1. Wish I had scrolled down to Marvel's post 1'st!
  2. That would be sweet....But. Two reasons I have not seriously considered it. 1. It is a woodshop, way to dusty for any electronics to have open airflow of anykind. 2. Noise into the house. Currently the concrete wall with the screen on it separates the HT from the Bedroom end of the house. The HT can be used at a moderate level without disturbing my wife sleeping in the master bedroom. When the guys come over, we play Halo until the early morning hours. 1 The amp doesn't have to be in the woodshop. You can also drape something over the drivers when making sawdust. The drivers will "self clean" the rest when you crank it. 2 Can't help you there, the bass WILL travel. You could however turn it down or off if necessary.
  3. I'd also think you'd get more output from a TH than a FLH. Michael may have been referring to a conventional horn.
  4. I can't believe that you're not building an IB with that adjacent room.
  5. Just saw this thread Boxx, cool speaks. Can't believe you bought them and haven't hooked them up!
  6. Looks like the 10. Great find!
  7. The speakers do look better with the grills off. The room looks better when the grills are on.
  8. Come on Carl, where would you stuff a set of MCMs? Oh wait a minute, has your daughter gotten married yet? Maybe her bedroom would work..... I'd like to see your better half's face when you planted those in the livingroom. Now that would be funny! I like the living room just as it is but I don't think I'd have a problem finding a place to put them. Bump for Greg.
  9. That's a great price. The 301 II's are a great party speaker that can get by without a sub if necessary.
  10. I'll finish watching it after I get back from the cow pasture, thanks.
  11. I wish I had some MCM's that NEEDED a crossover. At least that would mean that I actually owned a set.
  12. Aside from bubble wrapping the drivers seperately, I've thought of one other method that I've not seen suggested. The reason the magnets break off the horns is that there's nothing to hold them if the box drops. I would think that if you pulled the drivers and stacked some dense styrofoam under the drivers for support, then re-install the drivers, you wouldn't have to worry about that scenario.
  13. You're probably right. My current dog is food hound first, guard dog second. We have to monitor what we give him as he'll eat everything in front of him. I've never had a dog like him as far as food goes. The dog we raised who's currently with my daughter will eat half a bowl and come back later to finish it off. Oto (the dog we now have) will finish a bowl in less than 2 minutes and then spend the next 5 minutes circling the floor looking for dropped crumbs. No, he doesn't have tape worms LOL. LOL! My dogs had no clue when to stop eating if it was people food. Once, my wife was loading them up, and I told her as much. She kept right on. About 30 seconds later, Brownie tiptoed away from the pack into the other room and within 3 - 5 seconds came right back in for more. I "knew" something was up. I looked in the other room, and he vomited everything out to make room for more. LOL!!!!!! We had a Newfoundland puppy once named Schultz. When he was about 3 or 4 months old, we had a little food issue also. My wife and I had left the house to go somewhere. When we returned, we found him laying on the floor on his side with his stomach so distended you could bounce a quarter off of it. He had chewed through the side of the puppy food bag and eaten till he couldn't eat any more. I thought he had committed suicide by food. He laid there and didn't move for hours but would belch occasionally. The next day after he was up and around, he crapped pile after pile after pile.

EDIT, the dog in my avatar (Adolph) died about 4 years ago. He was a great friend.
  15. Well, unless you weren't there and they wanted to break-in and steal whatever you are insinuating you have. That's what a house Rottie's for[]
  16. Never seen one before but they look pretty cool. They'll take 900w RMS per cab and at 105dB efficiency they should get pretty loud. The +-3dB low end is 45Hz so they're music only subs. Looks like two 18" drivers per cab. They also are rated usable to 25Hz so you may not need a filter to protect the drivers.
  17. Another Boston innocent killed overnight. It's just tragic. At least they now have names and one is dead.
