I use a D2 with QSC's, is that close?? BTW, they sound great.

I'd start with the THX recomended setup and tweak it from there. Speakers set to small, crossover at 80Hz. Disable the crossover in the sub.

If you could wait a little and save up some more money, you might look at something like this: http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=2_4&products_id=407 or even slightly cheaper: http://www.hsuresearch.com/products/stf-1.html. Either one would be worth saving for and aren't too much over budget.

At full boat, you could pull around 20 amps. Your cigarette lighter circuit isn't meant for that type load.

Thanks. I either run on a track or sidewalks, so I don't think that lack of environmental noise should be much of an issue. I've never used in ears before, so I could be wrong however. Do they come with a standard 1/8" jack?

I only use headphines when I run. It seems to make the miles pass quicker when I listen to music. Which pair would you recommend for running? I'm sure even the lowest line would sound better than the stock set I currently use, so running ergonomics would be the number 1 item as far as a determining factor goes. Thanks.

I would think that someone who makes a fortune, then blows it would be looked at differently than someone who has been given something they need desperately, then squanders it. Maybe it's just me.
