  1. I'll be waiting for the DVD. ...on the local news this morning several people talked favorably about it.
  2. Audioholics..........lol...lol...lol...lol.
  3. Dean, That last sentence is so true.....hard for me to explain it any other way.
  4. Try it and see what you think....they sure look different with them off.
  5. Thanks for your input Deon and Walt..... I too have a 2039+.
  6. I shouldnt have bought a pair of Paradigm Studio 40's because they sound like dog doo. Now it's time to find something else, maybe RF7's or RVX 54's. I also shouldnt have tried to break in my new RSX5's on too loud a volume before walking out the door for 3 hours. It permanently ruined one.
  7. I'm kicking around the idea of getting a couple...... I'm also interested in hearing what you have to say..
  8. You answered you first sentence question with your last sentence answer. I did it to see if they would be worth keeping.......they are. It certainly didnt seem like big bucks to me, considering it would have cost a heck of a lot more to buy something else.
  9. I was somewhat jesting about the JC's On the other hand quite serious about the QSC and Crown. Simply put.....control. I have 2 identical recievers, a 100 watt and a 45 watt. The 100 watter sounds much better than the 45 watter, within the same system.
  10. From all I've read around the web the DAC's are pretty great. It's my understanding a Benchmark and my #2900 would make a world of difference. A side by side of my #2900 with my old Denon carousel didn't make a huge difference for me. Oh no, not another upgrade!.......
  11. Pretty clever page.....took about a minute to load through Comcast standard high speed. Using a 19" CRT regular monitor the picture was a bit blurry...may have been clearer with an LCD screen....? Color was nice....although I agree with Royster about the contrasting/clarity thing.
  12. I can vouch for the earth shaking at Indy IRP. 20 years ago I lived down the street from that place. The jet powered autos were the loudest as I recall.
  13. Will certainly be looking forward to hearing about the differences the crossover work will make.......
  14. Thats weird, having finish problems on a brand new speaker.
  15. The QSC's or Crown seem interesting for sure....the price is affordable compared to other a similar powered amps. They are almost so affordable it would be fun to try just for the heck of it. Not having RCA jacks throws me off......they must make some kind of converter for the connections to allow use of my Denon #2900. Jc's & Klipsch would be like a jet engine on a minivan.
  16. Ok,....now who is going to step up to the plate and hook the JC's up to a pair of Klipsch? That would take a mighty brave man, could you imagine a pair of K-Horns with them?
  17. You're welcome Hudson, I'm contemplating the RF7's now and my only amplification is a Denon reciever by itself or used as a pre with a 120 watt Sonographe (conrad johnson) stereo amp. If I get these 7's, later on down the road I suppose I could try one of those Carver's with a tube pre or possibly the Rotel or even some older rebuilt stuff. Seems a lot of people are happy with what they own and have some convincing stories to go along with it. lol..seems there are many different ways to power those 7's depending on ones own needs and preferences. I'm keeping an eye on this thread...sure are some happy customers with this particular speaker....also anxious to hear how you like your system once it's in place. ............See Ya.
  18. Years ago Radio Shack used to sell nice looking colored textured foam for covers, just cut to size and attach. Maybe a fabric store...certainly would be easy enough to make something, unless for some reason you wanted original.
  19. Thebes is very talented, a couple friends of mine work with polycarbonate making lap trays for wheel chairs @ a hospital. Nice job
  20. Very nice pictures Clipped, that equipment is great looking.
  21. Interesting, Thanks for the tip....I havent a clue as to what either one is about but I'll be watching for it.
  22. Hi Norman, I was just reading a thread the other day about a similar problem someone had. Seems like they may have used a little sound deadening product to cure that problem. Maybe that person or someone with experience will chime in and enlighten us.
  23. Mmmmmmmm, Never heard the KLF.....not sure physical size has anything to do with it.
