  1. Gotta love the finish they put on those eD subs. I had an A3-250 for a short time, but returned it. It's been awhile since I've updated my pics, but some has changed on my setup. I was gone for a few months. so I didn't get as much done as I would have liked. I'm currently staining the equipment rack and making fabric panels for the front wall. I also got two new packages what required some lifting! I couldn't sand the port chuffing and plastic creaking from the RW-12'd subs anymore.
  2. If I hadn't already recently purchased two SVS PC12-NSD's, I'd be all over this
  3. iTide - I just sent you an e-mail via the forum. Please let me know if you got it. Thanks!
  4. Please put more effort into your posts. LOL.
  5. Did the rattle you have sound like something, like a wire, was hitting the back of the driver when it was installed in the cabinet? I ask because I have a similar sound to what you've explained and I've been talking to Klipsch about it. I need to pull it out from behind my false wall and test the sub on it's side. I have two of these subs and only one makes this noise. From what I can tell, the output seems to be the same as the other sub. I can really only hear the rattle when I'm right up in front of the subwoofer.
  6. I agree completely. I played around with turning one subwoofer off when testing out my system and the difference was quite large and definitely noticable.
  7. /\ Who are you directing that question to?
  8. I was originally going to go the DIY route and bought the material for $200 (CenterStage XD). I later decided that I've got enough of the DIY left and ended up sending the material back to have them put rings in it for their frame. The total came up to $900+, but it saved me time and hassle. I've saved enough in the basement project (over $15k saved doing it myself). I don't think I'd ever not do an AT screen now.
  9. Thank you! I just got these seats last week, but I can't complain especially since they were only $1,145 USD shipped. The screen is AT, I just haven't mounted the shelf for the center channel behind the screen yet. I know people dog Klipsch subs and I know at retail price (which I didn't come close to paying), there is better, but these RW-12d subs really shake my room/house. I just received my Anti-Mode 8033 yesterday, so I am looking forward to seeing what it can do for my subs at my seating position.
  10. I'm not completely done, but I started watching movies (which brings progress to a crawl) and I'm loving my Klipsch setup!
  11. Sorry to re-revive an old thread... I have this same issue with both of my RW-12d's. It sounds like creaking from the plastic during certain bass notes. Did you do anything to fix this? My thought was to get some black caulk and fill all the seams. I think that will solve the issue. As far a port noise, I notice it every now and again, but now that I have two subs working together sitting behind a false wall, it is really hard to hear. When I get the port noise, it generally is a frequency too low for the sub to play. The port noise doesn't bother me as it rarely happens and I can't really hear it anyway. The creaking is a bigger issue as I is extremely easy to hear during scenes that have lots of bass but now higher frequencies to cover it up.
  12. If you mount it upside down, you'll still have the same problem.
  13. Both new. The first one was purchased through a friend that had a part time job at Ultimate Electronics (got my RF-62's for $400/pair and RC-62 for $250 through him at the same time). The second one was purchased throug Ebay when they were giving something like 30% back.
  14. I haven't heard the RF-63's, but I have the RF-62's and they really opened up in the bass department when I added separate amps. I actually couldn't believe the amount of bass they put out with the 4 - 6.5" drivers.
  15. I have two RW-12d's and I don't have any complaints. I got both of them for the total of $650, and I can use two of them to help smooth the curve through the room. At retail price, they're not worth it, however, at $300 - $350, I'd say they are definitely worth it. I haven't heard any port chuffing, but if there is some, it's being masked by all the other sound coming out in the room With a minimal pirce diference of $150, I'd be inclined to get the Reference series (RW-12d).
  16. I wouldn't put a 20 amp circuit in without running 12AWG. I may just run a second set of wires to the outlet boxes that are 12AWG so I can swap those in later if needed. After the outlets, there are only 2 lights on the circuit, so would I need to continue with 12AWG the rest of the way? My other thought was to run the 12AWG to those outlets, yet still put a 15 amp circuit and see how it goes.... I guess I can test the subs on one circuit in the house now and know for sure
  17. Howdy, I am currently insulating my theater and before drywall goes up, I just want to make sure I'd be alright with two RW-12d subs on 1 15-amp circuit. For the most part, these will be the only two things on this circuit aside from some closet lights. There is another outlet on the circuit, but it's mainly there for code. In the picture, on the front wall, the two lower boxes are where the subs will plug in and all the way to the left, you'll see the breaker box. It is a fairly short run and I didn't think these were that power hungry. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
  18. Pffff.... You just need some boost
  19. Here's one... But it's not a "Buy it Now'. If you keep your eyes peeled, they'll show up for about this price for BIN http://cgi.ebay.com/Klipsch-Reference-RB-51-RB51-Pair-of-Black-Speakers_W0QQitemZ200335627045QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSpeakers_Subwoofers?hash=item200335627045&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1546%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50
  20. I went to UoP for my BSIT. I haven't had any job turn me down yet, so they must be worth something. Would I go back to UoP, probably not. They've sucked money out of me on top of what I paid for classes and their recruiters are just that. My wife is going back to school for her Masters Degree, but will not attend UoP. She got her Bachelor degree before starting the 'work force', which I did not (which works better for me as I had no clue what I wanted to do... still don't!)
  21. My personal suggestion would be to go with the Sub12 or the RW-12d if you're looking to stay with Klipsch. You can find them for cheap if you look around. Otherwise, if you want a really good sub for the money, go with an Internet Direct company.
  22. RB-51's can be had for $200 new. I've purchased two sets at $200ish.
  23. I may be a little late, but I have the RF-62 package (w/ 2 RW-12d's) an am using RB-51's for the rear. I was trying to match the speakers as best as possible. I went with the RF-62 over the RF-82 because I wanted all the drivers to match with the RC-62.
  24. Yes, you can connect the SWS to a subwoofer out on a receiver. You can also connect another subwoofer to the SWS and have the receiver controll them both (you'll have to set the gain on the sub like any other). I had an SWS with my home theater setup, but have sold it a couple years ago to get something bigger. The SWS will definitely hold its own for what it is.
