  1. Sounds like a great time! But daddy... you didn't get any pics of your own?

  3. ---------------- I don't believe in beating up on members unless I'm shafted. ---------------- if you lived locally to these khorns and wanted them you might be singing a different tune. I do not but I feel for those who do.
  4. I don't think $2500 for mint khorns is too much.
  5. Since they will only accept a customer pick up of the horns I doubt it's a scam.
  6. that's messed up Gil. If you didn't want them for $700 you could have saved the seller all the hassle and costs of relisting them for a $750 BIN by simply giving him $50 more than the $700 BIN that you won. His listing/selling fees for both auctions were at least $50. You're kinda lost on this one bub.

  9. wow the mysterious & legendary corn crate surfaces... I wanted to use it about a year ago and no one even knew where it was.
  10. the seller made out pretty good on this deal. He got all of his money and zero resonsibility for the damage. He didn't pack them though... so UPS should pony up. I've never had ups pay a damage claim. They seem to weasel out of it if at all possible. Fed ex always honors claims. I've never had a problem. If an item is insured for $500 and it is damamged they don't quibble over how badly its damaged... they simply pay the insured amount to the shipper and usually return the item to the shipper. The seller then refunds the money to the buyer and it's done.
  11. I bought a refurb HK AVR510 receiver... many features didn't work out of the box. Had to return it. I'll never buy another refurb no matter how cheap it is.
  12. I bet that's it! That's how little I know about these new fangled multi-channel gizmos. My mistake... I take back all the bad things I said about the 3960... except that its transport is too noisy for me.
  13. Instead of waiting for the console calls just run down to your local salvation army. They'll have 4 or 5 consoles sitting there. So many in fact, that they won't accept console donations anymore.
  14. rick by that pic it looks like I'll be all set. Thanks!
  15. great idea joe. bkrop... I'm waiting on an estimate. Evidently, there's a problem with one of the eproms on the main PCB. The tech is trying to track one down. Keeping my fingers crossed. fini I thought the tv would fit nicely into that cute little bay.
  16. I think I'd miss about 7' of baseboard heat since there's no other in the room. I'll make it work somehow
  17. Thanks guys... the baseboard heat has to stay. I'll get the khorns as close to the corners as possible. fini it is going to be the HT room also. I wish there was enough rooms to have a dedicated 2 channel room but there isn't.
  18. After 38 years I'm finally getting my own house. Very excited! The livingroom has some nice corners for the khorns. 14 feet apart. There's some quality flat speaker wire already run under the carpet to all four corners of the room too!
  19. those trinkets on the tops of the speakers wouldn't last 3 minutes on my khorns. They'd be on the floor.
