Way so good, Petty. Orbinson, Harrison, Wilbury, Dylan. Its a sweet combo of all their stuff. More in LP than CD. Enjoy, Mike

There is so much "we" all can do to make things better (what I hear). You like it, Do it! There are always options, Yes or No, It will be in Your better interest to reach out and touch. It is all what sounds the "Rite Now". You like, enjoy. Sweet, or not, Matter of INHO!

hammertop replied to two dot's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
I got mine in 75, 30 some odd years later did the tube thing. Not much I can say (bottom jaw still on the floor) IMHO sounds so sweet did the next step. Went to new B networks..........really hard to type this out....... it's like I need both hands to keep from looking like a Drolling Corn Addict! Gotta get more! -
how to get the most of out of cornwalls?
hammertop replied to snilsen13's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
One of the things I've done is to take a regular dress sock, roll it up tight, and rubber band it. Place it in the mid and move it side to side, if you like it, leave it there. I did caulk the mid but not the squaker. DeanGs will be here in aweek or so. -
Ok! The pic in (Nos Valves gets some press) is the one I look at every day. Different tubes of coarse and after a week of running the beast very pretty in all aspects. The SS reflects light really nice but at 65 lbs. you don't want to be moving it alot. I'm in the prosses of putting it all together right now and God willing I'll try to post some pics later today. Thanks Craig, Mike

I'm looking for some really nice printable pics of ' 845s - VRDs - 300B monos'. Reason being ... I want to tape it over the face of my SS. [] Not that I'm hinting but every time one passes it reminds us (mom and I ) the final goal. "TUBES". Don't get me wrong have lived and enjoyed SS for many years and will never part with them , God willing. Understandable TUBES won't be here by Xmas, but will be here and or ordered by Feb. My problem is, So many, So hard, and always confusing (I'm not that smart on TUBES). I do know one thing the TWINS tell me it is time for more! Therefore I ask the question and or imput + experience that I do not posess to make the Corns sweeter than they already sound. For now I'll keep running what I have. ONE STEP AT A TIME! One can never know tomorrow!

If it were me, I'd go for it but keep the HK. also!

With in the next 5 days Walleye ice will be on. The ideal of a Jan/Feb meet works for me. Even though I don't post often, I read alot and learn. I have lived in gods country for 12 yrs now and you are correct. Have listened to alot of different stuff, all SS and no Heritage. Even though I'm running SS and tube, tax refund =all tube. The "Twins" (75 CWO's orginal owner) are calling me tubes only. There are more of us out there than we know, and that could be sweet. Count me in, if you meed help in leg work PM me. Mike -
Ok! Being liisted as a "newbie" I've had my Corns for 29+ years young (WO's) and just now thinking about re-oiling. Wow, the past forums seem to be refinish or total do over. As in life we all get banged around somewhat, a nick here, scratch there, inevitable. General touch up is like way important to me! The question: I have always used a good grade paste wax. Just how far do I have to go before re-BLO (boiled linseed oil)? The plan: Latex putty the small ouches, triple 000 steel them, use a low grade stripper, then start the linseed process. All the years I've been waxing, will the oil (in auto body terms) cause and or create fisheyes?

If your playing around try rolling up a dress sock (2' dia.) rubber band it and place into mid-range opening, 1/speaker, move it side to side, when you like it "oh-yah". I would put them closer to the wall also. The sound is weel worth the floor space.

way good, I still smile after 29 years with my babys.. hammertop
