  1. She was diagnosed Tuesday with type 1 diabetes, and she may have cancer in her pancrias. [:'(] (if that's how you spell it) If it's only diabetes, she's got about another 10 months left with us, and if it's cancer, we're going to have her put down. She would only live about another 3 months anyway. She's a lab/boxer mix, and she's almost 14 years old. So, she's definitely had a good run, and we honestly couldn't ask much more out of her. I thought my dad would be pretty heart broken, but he's taking it pretty well. I mean, after all, she did last 14 years, and the vet said that full breed boxers only live for an average of 10 years........... so 14 years was a good life for her. We should know by next week if it's cancer or not.
  2. Well, I talked with a Lawyer yesturday, and one of two things is going to happen. Either the bank is going to give us our money, or we're taking it to court. I'll keep you posted! Wish me luck
  3. Well, as many of you know, I "pawned" my HK amp to a co-worker temporarily to get some cash due to a certain situation. Well, I've scrammed up the cash to get it back today, and I'll be hooking it back up tonight. You have no idea how much I miss that amp!
  4. I don't own a sub 10, but refer to the subs in my sig. It was a "task" to get them to blend, but after a few hours, the bass was amazing. Like Hamp said, I'm not out to knock stuff off the walls or anything, so I also keep them turned down quite a bit. I like everything (highs, mids and bass) to be pretty level, but the two subs did help smooth out the overall bass. The Sub 12 is a beast compared to my 10, so I sort of had to turn down the 12; as it kept leaving the 10 behind. But, I say try it out with both, and be patient about setting/calibrating them together. It's pretty time comsuming, but SO worth it. And obviously if you don't like it, get rid of the Sub 10.........
  5. I'm with Mike on this one........
  6. I'm sure all these have already been said, but........ They're definitley too close together. I don't know about those, but my mains manual says AT LEAST 6' apart. Secondly, they're too low. Stands or another source of height are a must with bookshelves. And like said, they're rear ported, so..........

    SUBWOOFER

Good sub at a great price.............. what was your question again??? Just kidding. I would keep it, especially if I got it that cheap!
  8. Why not? If you already have the sub, then by all means, try it out. Who knows, you just might like the sound! And if you don't like it, then don't use it.......
  9. Nope! But I've only had mine for about 5 months............ But thinking of past speakers, I don't recall ever seeing any signs of wear. Then again, I've never used damp rags to clean them
  10. Seeing as my marriage lasted 2 years; I don't want to give you my advice! [:$]
  11. Ive never heard of anyone using a SPL meter to adjust the EQ; just levels. I simply used my ears for adjusting the EQ!
  12. I've never heard/used a KV3................. So I can't give any advice
  13. Well, Bill beat me to the punch here on stands; but I'll just say.................................................. welcome to the forum!
  14. I think Darylomer hit the nail on the head!
  15. I personally would get a sub before the center. I'll recommend the Sub 12. Not only is it the matching sub for your F2's, but it's hard to beat at it's price point. And this sub sounds absolutely awesome! But then again, the center (C2) would be cheaper, so you can't go wrong with that choice either. It's up to you really. Sub or center for sure though!
  16. Just my 2 cents. I personally would hold off on 7.1 until more movies come out with it. Even on BD, I was a little disappointed in the small amount of BD's that are true 7.1. More than DVD for sure, but not enough to justify............. I ran 7.1 for about 3 months, then down sized to 6.1 for about 3 months, and now my sytem is what you see in my sig. And I honestly don't miss the rear surrounds at all. And about amplifiers. IMHO separate amps definitely do add "more" to the sound than receivers alone do. I know you don't see one in my sig, but thats because I just sold one to get some money for "other" needs.............
  17. To piggyback off what Hamp said......... I have two subs (see sig), and obviously they're different. The biggest problem I ran into is that the Sub 12 is far superior in both output and power. So it was a pain in the *** getting the subs to "get along nicely". BUT, OTOH, once I did get them to blend, it sounded very nice. I feel that the 10 punches, and the 12 digs if you know what I mean. But like Hamp said, I would go with identical subs. That's my plan when my money's right....... to get another sub 12
  18. That's the only reason I didn't go with the PS3. I don't play games, so I couldn't justify paying another $130. So I went with the Sony you see in my sig........
  19. The center is not used for bass/lows, so the woofer size isn't an issue. Trust me, you won't regret using the C2 with the B3's............ The C2 is even a more powerful speaker than the B3's
  20. You'll be fine with the C2 as a center. The C3 has been discontinued, so if you really want one, you'll have to look at used stuff.
  21. I don't own one, but the ONLY complaint I've ever heard about the ps3 is the fan noise...............
  22. I personally would get the Rosenut. Not a fan of Natural Oak. My first pick would have been black, seeing as it matches every color; but obviously you don't want that, so............
