  3. one player that i have found that is very nice although it is a bit older is the ultech ucd-100,i just brought one home from my local dealer that had one that they couldnt fix, they decided to take it to a electronics repair guy that has experience with these and he got it running for 130.00 bucks and i have to say its a keeper, they had some early problems with these but anything out there that is still functioning will be just fine as most had problems early in the game.this player is built like a tank and has hdcd.nice machine!

  11. Ok guys I have decided to part with my Nottingham Horizon TT with RB-250 arm and Nottingham cart. this is a great table but a bit overkill for my second system.it is in perfect condition.Thebes made an acrylic cover for it which will also be included. I dont know much about the cart as this table was purchased as a demo from my local dealer.it is a cart that nottingham no longer produces and seems to be a HO/MC as it works with my MM phono stage although a bit down in gain.would consider selling without cart.more info and pics and reviews can be had at. http://www.aslgroup.com/nottingham/ I have just over 1000.00 into it and would like you guys to have first shot before agon. as allways partial trades will be considered for a lesser table or almost any other gear that tweaks my interest. Also I have a pair of Walnut oiled 76 corns that need a home to make room for a pair of decorators that are coming my way next week, they are in good shape with a few ring stains and one scallop of veneer missing on the front edge of one, also need grills recovered.have two types of material that you can choose from to finish the job, paid 900 for them which is a bit high so make an offer.will not ship so must be picked up in illinois, trades again are welcome as i am allways looking for something.
  12. well if a cd player should be neutral then amps and pre's should be neutral as well.do you think most tube amps sound neutral? not trying to start a tubes vs ss but just trying to make a point. the rega is known for having a tubelike sound, and i thought it was a pretty good player.i will take listenable over nuetral any day of the week.[]

  17. "Most people lack the intellectual strength and/or curiosity to grasp what jazz offers" these are your words not mine.I myself enjoy Coleman Hawkins,Ben Webster,The Three Sounds, early miles davis etc. and a handfull of modern artists, but I think that parrot was put on the defensive just by the initial attack of this thread and that needs to be considered in the whole negative debate that has resulted.
  18. Since Jazzman and Alan have resorted to insults I think I will leave them to there little games and bow out of this one,I think the moderators have seen enough to know whos causing the problems.you act like jazz is some elite club that only those of superior intelect can grasp.bet there are more than a few jazz legends that would laugh in your face.
