  1. Like Mike said if you can get it for a song then go for it. It may work for awhile or forever. I have a 330c and have had the 330b as well. The B was nicer as far as sound and such. The C is more stylish looking I think from my memory. But looks aint everything. Don't pay anymore than 20-40 bucks and no one gets hurt. Mark
  2. Lol, it looks like he posing for the cover of some death metal bands album. You know how they all have that snarling condescending look about them.
  3. Just marking this thread so I can refer to it later. I have the duracrest cloth already. Thanx guys.
  4. How about "White Riot"? I never knew what that song was about until I watched a Joe Strummer thing on Pay per View. That song rips, no, that whole album is good. How about XTC? Anyone here like them?
  5. Yeah, I can't see the Patriots losing this one. Right now I'm in the Boston area for work and the people here are insane about their team. It sucks not being home for the game. But this is the place to be tommorow unless you're actually at the game.
  6. Thanx for bringing back that old thread. That's cool because I've never read it but have heard of it through word of mouth and bits and pieces mentioned of it here on the forum. That's legendary no doubt about it.
  7. Very nice. I like your picture too, pretty cool how the tiger print shows on the vinyl. Awesome!
  8. Hey Oldbuckster, Congrats on your Cornwalls. If you require any help with your crossovers or anything you decide to do to them and require help. I'm about two hours or so away. You can order whatever you need and we'd install it together. Just an offer. All I would require is some good conversation and a few beers or so. Mark
  9. We watched How to be a Megastar over the holidays on the public channel and were impressed. Yesterday I got two third row tickets for the February 27th Syracuse show. My son and I are going. It is very expensive though. Can't wait. Mark

    Best movie of 2007?

I think the best movie I've seen in a long time is Apocalypto. I believe that it's a 2007 release. Mark
  11. Compressed air works good too. Not to high of a pressure though, say 30 psi and a paint brush, brushing gently. That helps get the years of accumulated dust and mung out of them.
  12. The veneer came from certainlywood.com. It's Ambrosia Maple. It has holes in it caused by the Ambrosia Beetle which also creates all the wild colors in there. It's inexpensive too $.99 a square foot. I didn't want to spend alot on my first attempt and wreck it but I also wanted something unique as well. Thanx, Mark
  13. Hey all, Just figured I'd post a quick picture of my first veneer job. Here's the Decorators I got from Doug ("tuned4life"). I used the Titebond II method with an iron. They came out pretty good. Right now I'm waiting for the linseed oil to dry before I poly them or whatever I'm going to do. I'm not sure yet. The camera is cheesy and doesn't really do these justice. The grain starts at the top of the speakers and is lined up with the front and bottom. In retrospect I wish I had mirror imaged them instead of having the grains match perfectly. They're still keepers though. Thanx to Greg Roberts for the nice pictorial and the rest of the forum who I used to make this project successful. Mark
  14. Hey, I know some of you are Art Pepper fans. Well there's a segment on NPR at 4:00 pm est. If you can't catch it you can always hear it again on their website. Apparently they're making a movie about him. Mark
  15. I believe Groomlake needs my address. No doubt though I've met some nice folks here on the Klipsch forum. Very cool, "top notch". Mark
  16. That'd be the Selenium ADF25-25 I believe. Part #264-322. You have to knock out a hole in the adapter. It's easy.
  17. Hello all, Tunedforlife (Doug) dropped me off a set a set of Decorator Heresy cabinets this week. They are going to require veneering. I called certainlywood.com yesterday and the veneer arrived today. Coincidently the fella on the phone knew are very own Greg Roberts. I ended up selecting the Ambrosia Maple. Anyways here's my question. Since they are decorators should I lay the veneer so the grain on the top and bottom of the speakers lines up with the motorboard or should I veneer them in the traditional fashion where tops and sides match? I've read all of the threads pertaining to veneering that are available here on the forum. I'm going to use the titebond and iron method. Hey and another question while I'm at it. Has anyone found a cure for the wood splitting? Thanx for your time. Mark
  18. I want a 1937 Zenith tombstone radio. It doesn't do FM though. I also want a Tivoli for the kitchen. Sadly the only good radio around these parts is NPR. No good music stations. Mark
