  1. Premium was 2.86 last night, is up to 3.15 this morning I guess if poeple haven't figured it out yet, the Hurricane has damaged oil supply lines running across the US dropping the supply down alot. The gov has issued supply to counter the drop, but the lines are not fully functional yet, so prices shot up.
  2. Well, if you like you KLF-10's , I would suggest picking up a pair of black KLF-20 or KLF-30's for you mains, and move the KLF-10's to the rear for surround duty. You will have to find them used, but they pop up all the time if you are patient. KLF-30 and KLF-20 specs. I am really please with my 20's
  3. PS3 here for the reasons stated above. And since I'm in the industry, my PC will always be somewhat up to date. I enjoy PC games as well, but consider it different than console gaming.
  4. Another recommendation here for Appleseed. Very Nice. I have watched it a handful of times already. Great sound and awesome graphics. I wouldn't call it all out cell shading, its a mixture. Been meaning to check out GITS2, glad to hear people like it.

    Sahara DVD

I wanted to pick it up. I wonder how good a quality the disc is . Reign of Fire was, emmm, alright.
  6. I disagree.... Money is not the root of all problems. Money is the root of all evil. [6] [] []

Something else? ---------------- UPS definitely info: http://www.apc.com/products/family/index.cfm?id=23 (read the description) APC also offers these: http://www.apc.com/products/category.cfm?id=15 but, they do not seem to have all the info about them online yet. I would assume that the "AV Power Conditioners with Battery" will be able to provide brownout and sag protection due to the battery, but the description is vague in saying "delivers pure, uninterrupted power". They look prettier than the almost functionally idential product above though (don't know if the above unit has the (EMI/RFI) supression though as the descriptions are written to market the product to the target audience). Addendum: asked APC, the AV Power Conditioners with battery listed in the second link are not available yet, they are due out in the 3rd quarter, however, they WILL have Automatic Voltage Regulations built-in to protect from sags and brownouts.

  11. There was one that ended on Wednsday I believe that went for 249.99 with 45 flat shipping. A month and half back there were as many as three on there. And yes these were KLF-C7's not RC7s. I would personally not mix Legends with Reference series, especially across the front.
  12. I would stick to other Legend speakers as others have said. Pick up KLF-30's for mains and move the 20s for surround, or pick up KLF-10's for surround. The C-7's can be found on bay. ---------------- On 7/13/2005 6:35:29 PM bhendrix wrote: ddcobb, Be patient, they are out there. A couple of week ago, a pair of black KLF20's with C7 were listed on ebay by a person in Kansas City. They did not sell at $675 because the minimum was not met. I wish I had kept the link. ---------------- Here is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5785457175&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1>http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5785457175&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 I had them in my watch list.

I forgot to add to my watch items and the seller pulled them from being bid on. That would have been a nice project. ---------------- I was watching those, as they were EXACTLY what I had been waiting to find. Even the one broken woofer would hvae been usefull for a bucking magnets. I almost cried when I pulled them up the next day to find out they were pulled My guess was UPS or whoever damaged them didn't let the guy keep em or they sold local. Dunno.
  14. GREAT work on the homemade KLF-10 center. I bet it is actually better than the C7 due to the 10's and lower frequency response. The C7 lacks the lows of the 10. ---------------- On 7/14/2005 1:23:02 PM kentmjohnson wrote: I am looking for a KLF-C7 as well. I might be interested in doing what you just finished doing. Does the KLF-C7 use the same x-over/circuitry as the KLF 20's do? If the C7 has a different x-over/circuitry wouldn't that make your rig sound totally different? Just curious because I am definitely interested in what you did. Thanks ---------------- For this KLF-10 Center, it sounds like Billyjoe used the Crossover that came in the trashed KLF-10 box, which would be the right way to do it, instead of the C7 network for the different frequency response. The C7 and the KLF-20 use a different network. The C7 is a two way speaker, with a frequency responce of 75Hz-20kHz, and a HF crossover of 2000Hz. The KLF-20 is a three way speaker, with a frequency response of 34Hz-20kHz, a HF crossover of 7000Hz, and a MF crossover of 750Hz. You can always build a C7 and buy a brand new upgraded Kstack network for it from a forum member by the name of Popbumper (Chris). You could also buy a new upgraded Kstack network for KLF-20 from him if you go that route, which would be a better match having 3 of the same going across, even better that the nicely matched, but a little different C7).
