  1. Aaahhhh ... it all makes sense now ....... what's the difference between a Drummer, and a Drum Machine..?? with the drum machine, you only have to punch the information in Once ...[] why are orchestra intermission's limited to 20 minutes ..?? so you don't have to retrain the drummer .... [] Sorry, erik ....... Bwaaaahahahah [] just when this thread looked like it might wind down
  2. a wise man once told me "if you go fat fast or ugly early, you'll never go home alone"
  3. So John, let's go ahead and get this out of the way early. What do you think of the Bose 901 IV?
  4. what's really amusing to watch is how some people think that because they have technical knowledge and/or training it makes them the absolute authority of what is good or bad. I believe this has gone way beyond a healthy debate (for some). Who cares if Bose 901s sound good to someone else? I mean, do the Bose-bashers here really care that someone likes them or do they just want to try to impress everyone with their technical expertise? Does that make these people feel stronger, more verile or competent? Were they picked on as a little kid and now feel inadequate? What's the deal?
  5. I've had Dtv for a long time, can't remember how long, probably since '96 or so and never had any real problems anywhere I've been and I move from town to town like gypsie. It's good I guess, but the only real reason I won't switch is because of Sunday Ticket. I just ain't gonna live without it.
  6. Mustang = Guy Car Miata = Chick Car If your wife's driving it, you can get away with a Miata, otherwise keep the 'stang
  7. what all do they do for $500?
  8. and they all come with a lifetime warranty, which states that if they break in half, you get to keep both pieces
  9. I have a similar problem with my car radio. It sounds just terrible. I have it turned up as loud as it can go and I hear alot of distortion, almost as if the speakers are buzzing and rattling more so than reproducing music. I also have the bass and treble turned all the way up. Does anyone have any suggestions?
  10. I wonder how they sound driving a pair of Bose 901s
  11. I'll do it for.............................................. $100 BILLION dollars dunh dunh dunnanunt
  12. I could really use the RB 75s, don't really need the RC7 but I'll trade you a pair of KLF 20s and EITHER a custom made KLF 20 Center or a KLF C7. Towers are oak, C7 is black, the custom center is, umm, some kind of old walnut veneer or something...I took an old Scott 188T enclosure, bought brand new drivers and crossover from Klipsch and built it. It may not be the exact size enclosure but it's dam close and it is superb. The only thing to figure out will be making the exchange. I ain't sending them via anybody. I will help you load them into your vehicle though. I might be willing to drive to say, maybe somewhere in North Carolina,Raleigh maybe?
  13. Another gem from Sci-Fi Boy. Considering we've yet to find a system that gives you this elusive "accurate reproduction" it has everything to do with flavor and preference (except when it comes to Bose and KR tubes of course). Now go rent Battle Star Galactica Season XYZ, have a Dr Pepper and let the grown up play between themselve. Eating too much spicy chicken Colonel? you have to admit, the Battlestar Gallactica reference was pretty dam funny
  14. dachuckster, I believe that is exactly the ticket. Thanks! Billy
  15. Michael you have made my weekend. I was starting to think that I had bought the wrong brand sub. Might I add: f-113 - 2,500 rms watts - 4" excursion - 130 pound cabinet - 13 1/2" woofer - huge surround - beautiful glossy black piano finish - excellent magazine reviews - Roc's happy with it - TheEAR is happy with it - even getech seems happy with it thank you. the mere fact that getech seems happy with it is selling point enough for me.
  16. I think getech can get you a killer deal on Bose 901s
  17. I'll let him speak for himself. Read his two posts in this thread. Then check this thread. And if you'd like some more, try this one. And if you want to read his post slamming the majority of the forum members' rigs, see here. His first post in this thread is on the second page, most of the way down. I went off on him a bit on the next page. LMAO, that first thread I started. That's dam funny. What's NOT funny is that thread had me with my own room all to myself but since then the house option has changed. Clicking on that link only reminded me of what I WAS going to have. Dam that getech, if it wasn't for him I would have never revisited that and consequently not been saddened by reading it. SEE THE GRIEF HE CAUSES >sob< [:'(]
  18. Have you ever seen those systems made by Rainbow? Totally too expensive but they look very nice.
  19. yeah, it could be a disaster. My problem is that now, I need the space under the TV for electronics since the new house has me limited, and hanging it from the ceiling ain't happenin'. I might go with one of those short stands for centers and put it on the floor in front of the electronics. Not ideal I know but I guess thats the route I'm taking.
