  1. getech would try to sell to a widow at her husband's funeral
  2. I've got $8,000 worth of credit card debt
  3. That's a fantastic price for an outstanding sub ! With shipping I paid $3,150.00 for mine and it's worth every penny . If I had a bigger room I would take the road trip and snag it . But in my 16 x 22 room , I just don't need anymore sub than I have . Willy, What does "need" have to do with anything?

  7. Miller, let me know if you ever want to sell those KLF 30s. Are they oak?
  8. I can't believe getech hasn't started peddling here yet
  9. Miller? I know Miller. Whats up bro? That KLF C7 and KLF 20s I got from you are still kickin'. Find me another KLF C7 in black, would ya. And I think I saw that sub you built. It was a monster. Did you ever get a different amp for it?
  10. You know.....this incredible offer and all the other kinda words in response to my thread should not surprise me for since I've been on this forum (which has been some years now), I've seen this same kinda out-pouring of sincerity and help and concern and generousity. However, being the recipient of all this is a very humbling for I think to myself, "These folks don't know me from Adams' cat, yet they would do this for me! Wow....." Each of you with that type of giving/caring in your heart makes God happy and it should reaffirm that despite what we hear on TV every day, this world is filled with people who truly care. I'm so proud to be a part of this forum and your words have brought a tear of happiness to my eye. And for the record, I didn't start this thread looking for sympathy. I just felt comfortable in sharing what's happening in my life. Thank you seems awfully inadequate, but that's all I have to offer. As for the Cornwalls.....what the heck they're just a material possession. Tom Tom, I know full well you didn't come looking for sympathy. You're down right now just like we all get at on point ot another. I feel sorta bad offering you material items when that's not exactly what you need. It's just that right now (and I emphasize "right now") I have more stuff than I need. I know speakers/gear is just "stuff" but it is something that brings you joy so if you find yourself needing it I will share my surplus for as long as you might need it. I do go to Ft Stewart, Savannah and Bluffton/HH/Beaufort quite a bit so just let me know....seriously. Billy
  11. I have a pair of LaScalas, a receiver or amp/pre-amp and a dvd player you can use indefinitely, and I am local to you more or less. I have a couple of sites I look after down there. Let me know.
  12. and if there aren't any purlins/blocking in the wall. They can really make ya mad.
  13. it won't be long, getech will be here trying to sell speaker wire.....oh, wait a minute, this thread is actually about speaker wire. He'll be trying to sell antenneas or sumpin.
  14. So, why don't you post in the subwoofer forum? Your OP was off topic, as the question was what speakers to keep, not what to buy. Thanks, tenzip. I've read this loser bashing other people's amps too, trying to sell his garbage. He's right up there (or should I say down there) with ebay resellers and flea market regs.
  15. Ah, the LaScalas. I'm not sure I will have a proper place for them to be honest. they would be great 6th and 7th channels for you. Why don't you take them off my hands?
  16. duhhhh, oh, ummm geez lemme guess....you sell them
  17. yes you do. I will definitely take you up on it, but I am going with the Reference upstairs for starters, then we can change it around later. BTW, I was at the Hibernian Hall on Monday(me and my son were extras in Army Wives) and there were paintings on the wall of I guess past Presidents of the Hibernian Society and one of those gentlemen had your last name. By chance do you have any blue blood running through your veins?
  18. you're lucky. Lennar is building our house and won't let me run squat. I'm going to hide some wiring right before drytwall as I live just a few blocks away.
  19. Opinions wanted. We'll be moving soon and the house will have a 12 x 20 x 9'(high) room all for me! And I mean ALL for me....no kids toys, games or computers. No storage of other misc. crap. All mine. The tradeoff? I gotta give up the rest of the house. There will still be a second system for the family room but it's going to be placed for looks regardless of proper placement, which brings me to my question. In my room, electronics will be my B & K Ref 50/200.7 combo. For speakers I have the option of my KLF 30/20/custom 20 center and single KLF C7 rear center set up OR my RF 7/RC 7/RS 7/RB 35 set up. Placement wise each will work fine. The room is a near perfect rectangle, only an angled wall in what will be the rear of the room where the door is but this does not present a problem for 1 or 2 rear speakers. The RS 7s as well as the KLF 20s can go right where they need to go on the side. I know the answer is to try them both but guys, I hardly have the time to even use this stuff much less go through all of those gyrations. My first thought is to go with the Reference system since I have 2 rears and can place the sides in their optimum position but I do love the Legends esp with the home made center. Is the center channel the kicker for going with the Legends? Will the Reference be superior once I finally hook them up to the B & K? I value most of the opinions on this board so any will be appreciated. Billy oh and the sub is a RSW 15
  20. you're missing the song man. just turn it up and enjoy.
  21. Hey Billy , This is kinda embarassing but David Bethany , the vocalist - guitar player - and songwriter for the Killer Whales , used to babysit me when I was a kid . He grew up in my nieghborhood Melrose , and was a member of my church , St. Mathews . I think that their great showing on Star Search was a long time ago . "Who controls the video screen ." PS - He is a JERK !!! His brother Peter however is one of the coolest people you could ever meet ! Somehow, I figured you'd know who they were. I never saw the star search version of them, just the Captain Harry's Blue Marlin Bar version of them and they did seriously rock out that old hole in the wall downtown. I think they even played at the Pea's Island "Yacht Club"
  22. i'd like to see the killer whales get back together.
