4Hz difference is not "much deeper." Like others have said, get the ones that sound best to you. However, bass response isn't everything when it comes to speakers, especially a difference of only 4Hz.

Well, the only decent DVD player I've had before this was a Harman/Kardon unit that retailed for something like $400 that I bought factory refurbished on eBay for around $90. The oppo is better in every way, picture, sound, everything. Doesn't make older movies look that good (of course nothing really can) but newer ones and espeically animated ones look amazing.

Now that the expendable money has gone towards the little yellow thing in my avatar there's no more money for Klipsch. Generally most everything from crossovers, drivers and cabinets will be of higher quality in Reference vs. Synergy. Synergy speakers are a great choice for people who don't have a Reference dealer nearby. After all, if it says Klipsch it rocks!

Most people set their crossover at 80Hz. I would set the speakers to small.

My wife works far fewer hours than I do so she's usually home when I am. And she's usually yelling at me to turn down the music/movie.
