Here’s the archived link from Klipsch:

In fully working condition I’d say they’d be in the $150 +- range.

If you had a larger room more power would be needed to reach the same SPL than in a smaller room.

Yeah, as far as budget goes, I pretty much blew my load on the CW IV’s.
I guess I’m back to saving up for some subwoofers. Maybe 2 CW IV’s and 2 subs would have been a better decision.
My marriage survived the the first onslaught... so there is still hope.
That would have been a much better choice. -

How to Order ??
Click on the link above and then there’s a green button to click on that says “Back this project”. -
I’ve always been of the opinion that any subwoofer you’re using should have a woofer that’s at least as big as the woofer in your main speakers.

I’m glad you figured it out SE88 as I’m in the same boat which is how I ended up here. Can’t say I’ll be back as it appears that the site is infested with trolls. I’ve decided to make two bracket with some aluminum sheet metal and just fabricate it to size, and then paint it.
Cheers.
You’re responding to a 14 year old thread and the member you quoted hasn’t been on here since 2021. -

You really want your speaker signal going through 44 year old screws? Ha! It's a terrible design. Maybe it was the cat's *** of it's time, but it isn't now. Someone else pipe in here and give your comment. Did you change your lame screw terminals that use mounting screws (NOT WIRES!) as conductors too?
No, and all of my speakers sound fantastic. -
I was never happy with the Academy I had. Used it with Heresy I/II mains.
I finally found a cheap Heresy pair, used one as a center and sold the other one. Everything sounds perfect now.

With my Heresy mains I wasn’t happy with any center speaker I tried until I added another Heresy as a center. Completely transformed everything.

If you want an upgrade, look for RF-5 or RF-7s.

Hello - if there was ever a nivice at this hi-fi world it’s me.
i have a a new Denon PMA 600NE and i have Klypsch R 51RM speakers and i cannot get the right speaker to work
did i really mess up getting these speakers?
Check your speaker model, there’s no such thing as an R 51RM. -
Coloration? Horn loaded bass is essentially the most accurate bass you can have due to is extremely low distortion. I have horn loaded subwoofers and they’re unlike any direct radiator subwoofer I’ve ever owned or heard. Effortless.

I had no grills for the cool look ever since I got the Klipsch speakers, over a year now. Today I placed the grills on. Call me crazy but I do hear a difference night and day. Leaving the grills on sounds best.
It’s always ok to start a new thread instead of replying to one that’s nearly 20 years old.-

Im unfamiliar with Heresy line, let alone early production. I'll follow up when seller provides more info. Ask is $800/BuffaloNY if anyone wants to grab them.
FYI I've purchased three original Heresy pairs (1980-1984) and $450 was the most I paid for any of them. The most recent pair was about a year ago.

Update. Desoldered the old binding posts from the crossover and installed the new binding posts. Process went smoothly and the Heresy is working great! Thank you to everyone that helped me understand the process!
Awesome!-

Thanks for all the info!!! So i put them out on marketplace and gotten some hood reply so far, a couple offers from $200-$300 😑. Those offers are just pretty annoying cause I feel like if they knew exactly what they were interested in, I wouldn't have to throw the 😂 and refrain from following that up with some smart *** comment in response to bs.😂😂
question…so I don’t have the amp or receiver that was hooked up to these for so many decades, Im positive they work but I would feel better to just reconfirm all the drivers are good like you mentioned in previous message…so what exactly would be sufficient enough to hook them up to? And what type of wiring would i need for these originals?
TIA

Yes, they’ll be fine as long as there’s no audible distortion from them. You could use a 10,000 watt amp with pretty much any speaker under the same circumstances.

That's good to know, if you have any direct recommendations to look into for what I have, I'm all ears man. I still have a lot of research to do on the subject and would appreciate any direction on where to begin
If you do decide to restore your crossovers to factory spec, forum member @Deang can help you out, along with JEM Performance Audio.Best thing to do is listen to them as-is for a while to let your ears get accustomed to them.

My amp only has one RCA out-put for a sub. Will this sup still function, if so, which terminal will I plug it into?
Helps to know what amp and sub you have. Also, it’s preferred to start a new thread instead of commenting on one that’s over six years old. 👍
Info please on my Klipsch speakers, S/N's 8504081 and 8504082
