  1. College of Charleston in SC . WHAT YOU SAY ? It is the oldest municipal college in the US , and has a ratio of 4 to 1 women to men . Who cares about the curriculum if you know what I mean !
  2. Hi Howard , Heres what I did . I tried to snip the spade in the middle and bend it at first . I got the ends down to the size needed to fit in the crossover but the wide ends would have touched . Oh well ; snip , snip , byebye spades and hello little eye connectors that fit perfectly . I should have included in the photo one of the unmodified spades for size reference . I love the binding post idea , but my Belles had just traveled more than 2900 miles and I was anxious to get them hooked up and see if every thing was ok . Everything definitely OK , I might ad . Anyway I suggest you go to the "show us your cat thread " , on the first page you will find a photo of La Scalas with the seperate binding post . That really looks like the way to go . I would have included that shot in this reply but I'm a bit of a caveman and have'nt figured out how to do stuff like that yet , much less resize my attachments ! Hell I still use a stick to fix my computer when it acts up ! Bad Computer , Whack , Whack , Ugh Puter Fixed !
  3. An old T-Shirt would work wonderfully . A plain cotton T-Shirt that is ...
  4. My God Man , You have 10 speakers in your living room and your still using a CRT ?!!! Oh Well , I guess we all have our priorities ...
  5. No poblem for a DLP or LCD set , and they are muuuch lighter . Speaking of which ; the Belle has a detachable top , and IMO is not sturdy enough to stand anything more than say a 27" CRT for any length of time . The Belle is not sheilded either . You may need to apply some sunscreen to the CRT ,if ya know what I mean ...
  6. My Sony NS999ES does a great job at both , and saves space by not having 2 components . Only problem is that I can't pop in a movie and listen to music at the same time . A minor drawback , but still a drawback if you know what I mean .
  7. Nice that you have a lady that lets you indulge in a passion other than her , they're hard to find . Allthough I'm sure she reaps some side benifits from it . Hey Todd , I was thinking , if we quit being nice to each other , and practice our insult verbage , we could give Duke and Sputz a run for their money . Whadda ya think ?
  8. I was thinking that since the top is allready raised 3/4" , why not go ahead and raise it another 4" or so to accomadate the tweeter . I have Belles and from looking at the top section it looks doable . PS Sorry to have scared your wife with my avatar , but just think how scared that poor Kitty is ! I kind of consider it as a homage to the old Klipsch print ads that state " you hardly notice a Heresy until it's turned on " Anyone remember those ?
  9. Hi Al , I was wondering if there was any reason other than asthetics that the tweeter is mounted next to the squaker instead of above it ?
  10. Todd I have to give it to you , Pretty clean ; with hardwood floors no less > All Hail Todd !!!
  11. Hi I think I get your drift , I would agree with dr.who and dragonfyr . Why don't you check the shop where you buy your drum equipment . Alot of times they have used monitors that they will sell for a song . Some will let you take them home and audition them . Also check your local classified ads under musical equipment , An old pair of SP1's will definitely do the trick . This is all assuming you have a tight budget or are just not interested in spending alot of money on such things . Say goodbye to your hearing unless you are using protection though , but I have heard that once you lose one of your senses the others get stronger . So as a benefit you may experience an increase in your sense of taste , smell and sight . Your results may vary . If you want something that you can actual enjoy away from the drum kit I would reccomend a pair of La Scalas . You can usualy find a used pair for around a grand . Anybody out there know of a bigger bang for the buck ?
  12. You answered your own question . To some people style is everything , and B&O has got some of the slickest products around . Some of the most overpriced too .
  13. It will definitly help . By the way I saw Garbage a couple of years ago at a 3 day music festival in Atlanta . Of all the bands I saw they were the best !
  14. Are you using the fiber optic cable ?

  16. Hey Chuthor , I am very happy with my Sony NS999ES both as a cd and dvd player . The only drawback is that it won't play dvd audio discs because they are a competitor to Sony/Phillips sacd discs which it does play . There are alot of good players out there so good luck and have fun . PS How does the PS2 sound through the Mac. ?
  17. Actualy , What you see in the picture are mostly my sat.& cable connections . except the DVI which is not exactly cheap or the X-Box firewire for that matter . All my important stuff Ie. amps , proc. dvd are Straight Wire interconnects . Since your so critical about wiring can we see your setup to get some ideas about how it should be done ? Anyway you suprise me , I thought you might need therapy after looking at that photo ROFLOL ...
  18. I didn't want to go there but.........
  19. With a beautiful avatar like that you need not worry . In fact why don't you just call me sunburn .

  21. My last post was for Toddvj , " He Really Hates Wires " , that pic. should be like Kryptonite to him . Anywhoo here's my little setup .

I recommend Bullfrog SPF-30 be applied in generous quanities asap ---------------- Actualy IMO , FWIW Sea and Ski SPF 50 ( Clear Zinc Oxide ) is the way to go ! Bullfrog is so 80's . Hey Michael " What Is Your Favorite Color ? Uh Cherry , No Black AAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa "
  23. I thought my Belles were made in Heaven .
