  1. Welcome back. We will toast you at the bar tonight (3 Minutes to Miller Time thread) Stop by for a cold one.
  2. Unfortunately I can't comment on the taste Germerikan but I give the presentation a 10[]
  3. Good idea Professor. You will be eating tomatoes after ours are long gone.
  4. do you think he was unloved as a child and had few friends[6]
  5. Nice crop Germerikan! The season is winding down here but fall brings other good things like greens and oysters. Let us know how the tomatoes turn out.
  6. I know you all are waiting on the edge of your seat to hear what I did today[] Nothing much but a lot of it. Humid as hell early on but by 6:00 it turned into a beautiful afternoon to sit on the patio with the little lady having a cocktail and listening to nature. We live next to 13 acres of woods protected by a 90 year trust. A red tail hawk whistled by and butterflies passed reminding me that fall is on its way. The scent in the air was a falling tide on the tidal creek....exposed mussels and oysters, in a mud goo. Four hundred feet to Hewletts creek that leads to the ICW. I stoked the Weber and put on some thighs and wings marinated in lite soy and fresh ground pepper. It will be ready by 7:00 so reluctantly happy hour will wind down as the Kettle One gives way to the Pinot Noir. The sunday ritual of giving both HK tubed amps a workout done I cued up some blues on the Quicksilver horn monos. Lonnie Mack and Charlie Musselwhite.....two white boys that can play the blues. I read sootshe's thread on bass mods for the LS on updates and modifications and got excited again. LS bass down to 30 hz!!!!!! Bluesboy....get your tools ready. So...for a guy without a life....not bad! Thanks to all who contributed.
  7. Okay winchester...what weapon for early season? Anything more than a 20 ga. is overkill IMHO. Early season the birds are dumber than nails and you can get your bag limit with a sling shot. The only easier shot is marsh hens and we used 410s for that. But you big city boys don't get outside much so go ahead with the 12 ga.[8-)]
  8. Blues on a sunday afternoon Charlie Musselwhite Ace of Harps Lonnie Mack Second Sight
  9. Darn sootshe. Just when I thought I was out you pull me back in. Very nice work.
  10. Thats a great picture and a handsome young man Ace. Since we are bar buddies I guess that makes me a litle famous too[:^)]
  11. Hey Ace....where is JB and Winchester? Slow at the bar tonight. Had a Kettle One martini and later a couple of Pinot Noir with dinner....french as I recall. Send a pic of your son if he makes the news tomorrow. Gonna hang up for now. Cheers all!
  12. Dang fini...you are the man. Chores done and its only saturday morning. I would say go up and have a few of those Belgium beers with Tom and get back here for happy hour[]

  16. Kettle One..not to shabby JB. So thats what your poker winnings bought? Winchester I can't begin to compete with your life style but I permit myself a few indulgences now and then[] Where is dg and bl? 18. Fireplace, kegerator, music......[^o)] We are going to need a virtual tour when the rooms completed. Sounds like you are pretty handy around the house. Speaking of handy....Winchester is very good at taxidermy. He stuffed a pigeon once and now passes him off as a canvasback[] I'll have to go see for myself one day. Thunder storms and heavy rain here and expected for the weekend. May have to listen to some tunes.
  19. Ace....will that be your music room? Winchester.....gonna watch the Eagles and the Colts tonight? JB....how much did you take the guys for?
  20. +1 Chili bone. Had a history prof in the 60s who was an authority on whiskey....he could tie whiskey into any part of American history....did his dissertation on it. He told us young whipper snappers that if we are going to mix then go with the cheapest, highest proof. If we drink whiskey on the rocks or straight up to go for the best quality you can afford. Good advice IMHO. And you guys said I didn't learn anything in school[^o)]
