Long story about Denon ........... Tweeters had one advertised at one price, went to the store to buy it, they said they only had one, and it was sold. Never stated limited quanties in the ad, got no where with them, contacted Denon about what they were doing, Denon Rep. said they didn't care, wasn't up to them how Tweeters conducts their business .............. So, enter VANNS ..... running a close out on that Yamaha, so I bought it. Suits my HT needs, just fine ................. can't compare RF5's, I own Cornwalls, and Heresy II's ........ check out vanns, good servicetry these www.vanns.com ... www.wildwestelectronics.com ... www.outlawaudio.com .. Take your time, shop around

I had a regular SONY receiver, good HT, but poor 2 channel, tried a pair of La Scala's, got rid of that Sony shortly after. The ES line is a better grade of receiver, much better than the lower end models. You won't get a lot of praise for SONY on this Forum ..... but, remember buy what best suits your needs, you know best, and it is your money ........ I am happy with the Yamaha .....

Bulldogs, and Boxers, like mine, really don't like the humid, hot, sticky air ...... as far as that goes, Old Dawgs like me, don't like it either !!!!

I wouldn't buy one, but like I wrote, check craigslist for Toshiba HD-DVD's selling for $35. to $75. around here. Me, I like SONY, but my opinion on Home Theatre has changed, and HT has taken a back seat to my 2 channel set-up ........... Home Theatre, to me, I speak for no one else, is like a new toy, you play with it for awhile, then it grows old ................ just my opinion .............

E-bay is full of cockroaches ........ They ruin it for the honest guy selling and buying ......... Craigslist is getting just as bad ...... Sorry that happened to you, but if you swim in a cesspool that's what you get ........... Good Honest people don't do things like that, and of course,"They were perfect when I shipped them" line of crap ..............

Wait a minute guys, HD-DVD is dead, or do you mean Blu-Ray ? ........... Oppo is worth a look ....... I have standard DVD, that's good enough for my needs, cheaper too ............ The market changes so fast, be careful what you buy, here today, gone tomorrow. Makes me laugh all the Toshiba HD's that wally world had on sale before Christmas, are now flooding Craigslist for real cheap ...........

You know what's best for you .................. Sell it all, and start over later ............. I second guess my commitment to Home Theatre, just another fad to sink money in. ...... When given a choice a H.T. system or a 2-channel system, 2 channel will win everytime ...... most DVD movies have poor 5.1 anyway, not all, but most .................. No knocking HT, just my point of view, everyone is different ..........

Your comparing your Corvette to your G.T.O. ........... Both powerful cars, The Corvette, (Khorns) alittle more refined, better suited for Classical or Acoustic material, maybe light Jazz along Musics winding road ...... The Goat,(Cornwalls) more straightline performance, Rock, maybe some heavier Jazz, bottom end driven musical freeway ....... Aren't the Cornwalls considered Khorns when you don't have proper corners, seems I've seen that written here before. I hope you enjoy them both, and bet they sound great driven by VRD's .........
