  1. I just got thru hooking up my new center channel. It is combined with Jubs in front and Khorns in back, JL Audio sub. It sounds simply wonderful. I have tried a cornwall II and Heresy III in the past. And this is just perfect. Seems interesting, the Jubs sound better even than before to me w/ the Pal in the center. Thanks Klipsch for making such a wonderful speaker!
  2. Good write up! How bout' some pics?
  3. I am very happy with my Klipsch, McIntosh, and JL Audio gear that I use, FWIW.
  4. My friend is in a band at his church. As an insurance replacement for some speakers damaged, we was given a new set of CWIII's as a replacement. He would be using these with pro type amps and gear. He thought the speakers were going to more of a pro type speaker. He is wondering if it is possible to change the inputs from home use to a 1/4 in input. Would this speaker, with its current array of speakers and crossovers work well w/ pro type equipment for use in a church auditorium. He is trying to decide whether to keep these or try to get more of a dedicated loudspeaker type speaker. I have explained how wonderful these speakers are. Of course, I am coming from a home type use perspective. So, any thoughts or ideas on this? Paul
  5. So do you think we should start an informal list of things we might bring and see if there is interest? That way we can bring such items to Hope with us when we go? Paul
  6. For those who have not been yet. It does seem like a lot of the 'action' happens at the Holiday Inn. But, Hope is not very big, so would be easy to get from one to another. I am getting very excited!' Paul
  7. Just made reservations at Holiday Inn there in Hope. Was able to get a room, but he made it sound like the number of rooms may be getting a bit short on rooms left. Does anyone know if there is a special Klipsch rate? I got mine for 99/night. Paul
  8. We should start making a list of things people might be bringing or be interested in obtaining. Give us something to be thinking about! For what it is worth, I drive a rather huge Ford Excursion, that can hold all the way up to Khorns in the back. If anyone needed anything brought from Waco, Dallas or near by to Hope, I would be more than happy to haul it there or back for them. The amp is an Antique Soundlabs integrated. Sounds nice, got it from former forum member. Just never gets used anymore. Same with the Cornwalls actually. Paul
  9. Would there be any interest in people bring gear and stuff that they might be interested in selling or swapping? That would provide a great way to look at and transport some things back with us. I have a pair of Cornwalls that I may be interested in selling, along with an integrated tube amp. And I would love to have a pair of bookshelf size speakers. So, anyone interested in such a thing? Paul
  10. So very sorry for your loss. May God Bless you and your family. Paul
  11. I am in Waco, as mentioned before. And would be more than happy to host some time if you wanted to take a listen to my 'bookshelf' speakers. Paul
  12. Use what space you can! Looks cool!
  13. May we all remember that Jesus sacrificing his life in a terribly painful way is the reason that a sorry lot of sinners like us have a chance 'in heck' to have a chance. I have had a terribly hard year this year, but it does help to know that Jesus has my back so to speak. And that if He could go thru the pain of a crucifixion, that He actually does care and love for me. And if He could love me, who couldn't He? So God Bless us all. Let us not forget to tell Him thanks, especially today...
  14. What a cool room! You could have the dtel make another set of MWM's, then they could double as a work station! Put some sewing machines up on them! Paul
  15. Made it back all safe and sound. Went back to the island of La Gonave. Did surgeries, cast a broken arm, washed acid out of a man's eye, and had to remove a zipper off a poor little 6 y/o dudes boy part! Rode on the private jet of my new friends to Miami. Ted Nugent's wife rode with us. She was very nice. Then rode small prop plane to the island where I did the surgeries, etc. Took small boat back to main part of Haiti and drove to Port au Prince, where we flew back to Waco. Had an absolutely wonderful time. I can honestly say that I have never felt more happy as a doctor than I have in Haiti. I am missing it already. I am going back in the summer for a week. My oldest son is going to go. He is really excited! One of the most rewarding cases I did was on a 15 y/o girl. She had a huge breast mass about the size of a cantelope. The last time I was there I did an open biopsy. I brought that back to Waco, where a local pathologist looked at it. It turned out to be a tumor that is not malignant yet, but has the possibility of becoming malignant. If it had been malignant, she would sadly not be curable. This time, they found her again in the village, and I was able to remove then entire tumor! She was so happy to see me again! And I was so happy to see her again! Her face just lit up when I saw her! I was also able to do a c/section on a baby. The baby's father was killed in the earth quake. It was a bitter sweet delivery. Knowing he would never know his little daughter. So, kinda long winded. Just needed to express some of my feelings about the trip I suppose....
  16. That is weird. Lets try this one! http://www.photoshow.com/watch/fs9Bz3Hv
  17. I am heading back down to Haiti in the morning. My new friends with a private jet are flying down there for the weekend to meet with people there to set up contacts. They are going to be shipping supplies down there each month. They asked if I would go with them in order to do more surgeries on Saturday. So, it will be a quick trip, but since I am lucky enough to go on their plane, travel time will be greatly reduced. I am so excited about getting to go so quickly again! This summer, I am going to take my oldest son, Me Loves Heresy's down for a week. He is 16 now and is very excited about that chance! The lady who owns the plane made a slide show of the last trip, it is below. They are the owners of Curves International. Very kind and great and rich and generous people indeed. http://mmod.ncaa.com/video/std?gameid=1740297&ttag=mmod10_edit&ts=1268937992&t=072ce079a23c106bb1f2f7a5e0a2bb90&w=90 Paul
