  1. Thanks oldrimer--It was "Clowns and Jokers."
  2. I have not progressed to Atmos yet but does anyone else crossover these speakers that low? I was wondering if it's an "atmos" thing or just wrong. 🤔
  3. I REALLY like my Klipsch RSW-15/12s!
  4. Ya know, I think the juvenile name calling gets old. It also appears to be against the TOS. Yeah, this. Roy calls himself that as an endearing term, but others he may call "bonehead" may not understand, espessialy new people. Heck, I took a half year break after one of the MODs kept calling me "a joker" which was unwarranted. 🤐 I'm definitely not thin-skinned but I don't play that way and try to be respectful in conversations and my equally uncivil comeback would've gotten me banned. Anyway, just pointing out when the name calling begins is when folks get bent out of shape. I don't know why your thread got deleted because it was interesting and seemed benign in the whole scheme of things. The only thing I can think of is if the builder also built speakers competing with the niche-Heritage audience. Otoh, as I mentioned before, if Klipsch can sell more Jubs by someone offering a center channel for them that seems like a win/win, imo.
  5. I don't think anyone ran him off. He may not have appreciated the give-n-take discussion/debate and that might not be what he was looking for. Then again, he did seem like a nice guy and hopefully he will be back.
  6. I don't know what to say/think. Surrounds and Atmos speakers appear to have a lower crossover than I would think...Also, insofar as your subs are concerned, I've read that most people get used to a bloated lower end which really makes them thump, but in turn it can drown out som of the mid frequencies of your other speakers. Dunno, but make sure you're elevating your Audyssey mic with a tripod (or if it came with one). Fwiw, I use Audyssey with an older Denon and don't know what came with yours. Good luck, but I agree something looks wrong but the other trims look okay (comparatively speaking).
  7. I don't think anyone is doing that in this thread. It's unadvisable for the most part because of lobing issues.
  8. I'm not sure how to answer your questions but some of that looks kinda peculiar if you ran Audyssey as directed. The first thing I would do is set your front speakers to small and raise the crossovers to at least 80 Hz with the exception of possibly your mains to 60 Hz. Second, if your sub trim level is -12 it appears you need to lower the volume at the sub itself (you are reaching the max there).
  9. I never noticed the RC-7 not matching my RF-7s and feel it's a seamless match while I crossover the towers @ 60 Hz and center @ 80 Hz to dual RSW subs.
  10. Ha! I've been here for 22 years and have had all of those things done to me with the exception of the last. 😮 There was actually a time where some of us could but found it was an unfortunate mistake...Too bad because I was ready to let the ax fly! 😁
  11. I actually think they did. Check out the TOS and no competitors post. Having lived in Germany for 4 years and studying that history I'm sure that's not it. Fwiw, this is the internet...Keyboard bullies usually "win" that way by getting the threads shut down. Me too. I saw it last night and agree. Honestly, my thoughts are that Klipsch sould have no problem letting someone else design a center channel to those that bought Jubs from them, but that's just me.
  12. Okay guys..I've had my share of being disgruntled but keep in mind being a Moderator here is an unpaid job. Also consider that the vast number of posts aren't even related to Klipsch and there are days/weeks they don't even show up. I suggest if you have friends here get their information now because at some point they may shut us down for good.
  13. Fwiw, I thought the stated criteria was if the person also sold/built non-Klipsch speakers commercially. 🤔
  14. Who knew you were such a great photographer??? 😮 Good job!
  15. Nicely done! When my AVR-4311CI finally bites the dust I'm going to have to figure a way to incorporate a 2nd set of Atmos speakers and you gave me an additional idea. Thanks!
  16. Shoulda bought a 3rd Jub! 😁
  17. Fwiw, I agree trash talking has become the norm in the last 10 years and civility should reign...That said, the lowest common denominator seems to shut down discussions and unfortunately those are the folks that win when it happens. Ha! When we were no longer allowed to talk about the *Forbidden Subjects* on the Klipsch Forum a moderator (Mallete, may he RIP) started a private Klipsch group on Facebook to discuss these things where I joined. Fwiw, it died out because of the incivility I mentioned above. Otoh, I joined Facebook at the end of 2016 after being surprised to find so many people who got their News there. 😲 Prior to joining there, guys here posted similar sentiments about what their wives were seeing on FB and the crap that was crossing their screen, which evidently was shaping their views on contemporary matters. Cut to late 2017 and Facebook cleaned up their act an no longer let unsubstantiated "News" (sic) post things that were proven to be untrue (or obvious propaganda generated bot material). I had no intention of joining FB until I was curious how it worked and found it amazing so many people were conditioned by what was going on there. For the record, I love the place now and enjoy posting and talking about travel related subjects and the Real-time nature in sharing trips. I an not a member of the Klipsch Facebook page because I'm a member here but think an ongoing conversation of some of the things we discuss here would be hard to keep up with. Those are my thoughts over morning coffee. 🤔
  18. This seems like the ticket and was voice-matched to your RF-62s.
  19. Umm...I wouldn't label it censorship but more like when it got personal it was obvious it was deteriorating. I think the OP even offered to have it remedied if the MODs saw fit.
  20. That is what I was thinking. My guess quite a few of us were biting our tongues not to point that out until Dean dealt with it diplomatically. I agree some of it seems subjective but if we go by the Golden Rule of treating others like you want to be treated is a good start. To paraphrase Dean, "don't express an opinion without expecting a response based on science." I agree and wish we could go back even further but was informed that isn't going to happen. Otoh, folks should consider that this forum may end up being more trouble than it's worth and Facebook is the only alternative. Dunno but don't really want to see that.
  21. Fwiw, I don't know anything about the Garage Sale Threads, but the one in question the OP broke the rules several times by questioning people's motives, telling another to "get a life" (to a conscientious statement trying to tame down the situation) and saying derogatory things about the forum. Gotta admit it wasn't too bad but they need to draw a line somewhere...that's my take.
  22. I imagine your room and placement is going to effect the sound more than an external amp. Your Heresies are rated 99dB @2.8v/1 meter and (imo) at best when level-matched will sound the same as your AVR. At worst you are going to introduce unwanted noise that you are going to have to remedy. That's my take but it doesn't hurt to experiment esspessially if your a tinkerer. Good luck!
  23. No problem and I accept your disclaimers. Fwiw, I listen to primarily multichannel music and my upper-end Denon AVRs have worked great in that application.
  24. Oops. I misspoke and meant preamp or processor. I disagree and feel where we may agree is that it's more likely one would find cheaper AVRs not delivering the WPC they claim and have a higher noise floor. Fwiw, the Denon I mentioned above wouldn't benefit with a separate amp unless possibly in a really large room and/or at extremely loud volume. Mine had (nor the current AVR-4311CI we have ) has any problem reaching THX Reference level or sustain 80 dB average 100+ dB peak performance. YMMV.
