Thanks everyone, and everything is going pretty well. Makes a huge difference on how you look at some things in life. Taking most things much slower now. (less stress)

Just in case anyone was wondering why I haven't posted lately. Incurred Thursday, June 12th and was in the hospital for 4 days (3 recovering). No physical disabilities, but speech is good and 98% + memory restored. Well, I told the BIG MAN to help me stop smoking, but this isn't exactly what I had in mind (lol)

I want to catch Boney James at that location, as he played the Capital Jazz Fest Friday night. What a show @ the Merriweather Post Pavillion....acoustics were fantastic! ALL weekend performances were broadcast on CH2 XM radio Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Did anyone by chance catch any of the performances?

Yup, paid $225 for my pair.........and the bass output isn't bad actually'; however, those metal cones SUCK. Nice cabinets w/piano finish, so intend on swapping out those comps w/some focals or equivalent eventually. CALL ME SCAMMED, but I suspected this all along

Would be nice if you could provide the following: Budgeted amount? What exact pieces are required? I assume you seek the entire system? What a lucky Hubby

I also preferred separates, but it ain't cheap, so depends upon your budget/space. RIGHT, what everyone else said[]

Even the Bose systems are NOT 100% bose, because my HU was a BOSE w/Delco speakers. Gutted the entire system, as BOSE is not IMHO the preferred system of choice. Now the Mark Levinson system in those European models are SCHWEET, but then again, you are paying for it too. Yes, I too have asked the question....at least on the speaker front, as electronics is a whole different animal, and the competition is fierce. There isn't a doubt in my mind that KLIPSCH could rival the car audio industry (Focal, MBQ, Dynaudio, or even Image Dynamics on the HLCD stage (horn-loaded compression drivers.) Maybe just too many companies competing for too few dollars. Klipsch certainly has the name-brand to carry itself into the arena. Just look at the I-pod system. Biggest problem I see is the outsourcing of specs to overseas companies in a cost effort to be competitive. I just do not see Klipsch relinquishing control, but who knows what the future will hold.

Have had mine for 25 years now, and I'll never give them up!

Well, since Klipsch DOES NOT offer a car audio line of products, I fear no acts of punishment from Amy. MECA had a Sound-off in Parkville MD this past weekend, and for the first time in many years, I found a Dynaudio and Rainbow distributor. Got a chance to demo those Esotec 2/3 way components, and let me tell ya that those Mid/Mid-bass speakers really rock. I still believe the Focal V2 Polyglass are overall sonically better in many respects (freq response and price), but the MBQ tweeters are still the most detailed and sharpest in sound reproduction. Kinda explains why so many competitors run a hybrid system (piecemeal setups). Thoughts, input, arguments?

Looks like another weekend of MADNESS for the weekend of June 6th. Boney James concert (jazzfest) Friday night, and then down to a Crutchfield Car Show/Sale featuring many sponsored vehicles. If you are a car audio enthusiast, it sounds as if several sponsored vehicles and custom install cars/trucks will be in attendance or INVITED anyhow. Not sure how many have RSVP'd, but I'll be there to support MECA and my local shop. I was asked to participate, so if any of you reside near/or in the Harrisonburg, VA area, I encourage you to attend that Saturday, June 7th. Should be a fun time. .....and for those N Balt residents, I finally located a shop that carries Dynaudio and Rainbow equipment: 12 Voltz in Parkville, MD (We had a sound-off this past weekend, and those esotec 2 and 3-way components aren't too shabby.
