  1. Man. I thought these would go by now. I'm about 4 hours away and have some time on my hands as I'm between jobs. So therefore can't buy one of the beasts right now. If somebody wants to pay for my gas and other expenses such as the beer, maybe some oil, and some food and drink I might be able to pick them up one day and maybe do an 8 to 10 hour round trip in a day or two. Might be able to store for a short time but would rather not due to size and would have to make room though could fit them in.. but way too powerful for our small house if I'd properly feed them during storage. That and another project with 12" and 12" passive is the works that's more suitable for our small home. I'm assuming these would both fit in a Dodge Grand Caravan with all the seats down. It does pretty good 23 - 25+ mpg on highway. Might take a quart or two of oil. And food, soda, for the driver. Willy's about 12 hours one way so that may be doable though I'm not sure I'm up to more than 8 hours round trip but 12 round trip would be my max. Just thinking out lound but I don't think my wife would care if the timing is right so she doesn't need the wheels. Even better if our daughter still at home would come along for the ride / drive. 12 hour round trip would be an option then.
  2. forwarded to mey be All Pro Dad Tony Dungy's organization. I have not seen it yet and might not be able to streem until o dark thirty as our high speed wireless bandwidth is minimal at best. VPN for work was fine as long as no video.
  3. To everyone in the Klipsch "family": Hoping y'all had a very blessed and Merry Christmas and that you have a very happy and prosperous New Year. Ok, y'all know the tune, a bit late, but join in ... "All I want for Christmas is some big horny Klipsch, some big horny Klipscy, ..."
  4. I have to agree. Awesome subs. And they won't last long at steal of a price. And only about 4 hours each way... In my dreams Santa Clause may bring me one... or both (one would overwhelm our small house.... I've tried to be good.... 4 hours one way... back to work and the Colts game... These should be gone before the game is over.
  5. Yea, I am kind of interested, but am clueless as to value. Chip And pictures showing condition or any issues are wonderful. Search enough on the forum and you'll find original price. A few at least have sold on eBay. I believe these were lower numbered in the original signed / numbered 60. Signed / numbered edition xxxx of 1000 were given out as bling at this past Pilgrimage so the demand is not as great as it once was or greater as there are no more available to buy new.
  6. Or very happy as I think Carl has great taste in music. [8][8][8][H][8][8][8] Or very said they just bought the latest top of the line (rhymes with hose). Carl those KPT 100's and sub do look great. But I'm still more envious of the lucky soul with those KP 250's and monster bass bins....
  7. OOooh!! Nice find oldmako..... Sweet!
  8. Anybody have any idea what the metal tool is used for? I got it to use a swagibng tool for dog cables but pipe vise works so much better and easier.
  9. Cal, I do find some decent CDs and LPs. 3 receivers so far but 2 with issues and have not tried the 3rd. Missed a Kenwood Basic amp the 100 WPC but did get the matching pre-amp though have not yet tried it out. The company I worked prior to the previous we used to not so jokingly joke that if working there didn't leave to heavy drinking, nothing wojuld. The previous company which acquired to prior it was mandatory. Black and more so silver heroin are my addictions. Much less expen$ive in so many ways than alcohol or drugs. Today's haul. All 1/2 off at the local Goodwill. Was good only checked the 1/2 off color as they had quite a few. Picked up some reading material as well. Other han new to me music my best acquisitions are Tannoy SRM 12B studio monitores (SWEET! [8][8][8][H][8][8][8] SCORE!), a nice Nakamichi CD changer, and maybe a decent run of the mill receiver. Some other fun stuff too including books.
  10. Bummer mang.[:'(] Online is fine ... as long as authorized. Amazon is authorized and had killer deal on Image X10 or X10i Cyber Monday or Black Friday.... BUT MANY who sell on Amazon are not authorized. I haven't heard any progress but Klipsch sued 23 manufacturers in China for patent infringements last December. Klipsch has a list of authorized retailers on the main website. If in doubt. Check.
  11. November - I'm almost caught up.... Dots Will Echo one of my favorite Boston Acoustics Up Close CD's ... may see how it sounds on Michael's Jub's or LaScalas on next visit
  12. October - almost caught up - maybe I should start having yard / garage sales like Randy.... but I buy most things for me or with others in mind... Note... Grill is not part of the acquisition
  13. September - b Boombox is for Mother In Law. About 1/3 the size of the one she'd been hauling into hospital gift shop for music while she mans the shop.
  14. September - a Rigid tools. Local gutter contractor who buys a lot of stuff and resells from biz just down the road. Giving away the Hello Kitty air fresheners by the hadnfull. Had a huge Rigid pipe wrench but didn't want to sell it..
  15. Saxophone at the Kokomo Rescue Mission... looks "playable". Picked up a new ligature, mouthpiece, reeds, and beginner book, more than doubling my investment, as Alea wants to learn to play sax... though she's thinking baritone... but with hearing worse in the lower registers. maybe I'll give it a try. Does need some work. Quick guestimate at Indy music store where HS band uses said about $300 to redo all the corks and stuff and probably worth about $600. No intent to put $300 in it right now though... Probably about the same vintage as my King trumpet and Alea's King Cleveland 600 trombone. Made in USA. Elkhart Indiana
  16. September - hit a yard sale in Plymouth Indiana while attending Blueberry Festival
  17. Indianapolis trip... What is this stand for? Maria Maulder the best score in this lot Score! Bob Marley, Neville Brothers, Fleetwood Mac, Emerson, Lake, and Palmer, Johny Winter A couple of duplicates here... Basia, Mannheim Steamroller though brother and probably future sister in law should like it, Steely Dan, Linda Ronstadt, Norah Jones
  18. August acquisitions. Frist up John Deere hat, water cooler, Avon cooler and bag, McDonalds Happy Meal toys.... Coytee is so excited about Maris so picked this up a a local pawn shop. Me not so excited. another post for August from Indy trip...
  19. Nice score on the M80 Cal... I've heard they're great amps. [8][8][8][H][8][8][8] Got some catching up to do... back in July around the time I picked up the toolbox...
  20. RIP Old Buckster / Rob Black Friday 2008 Harry let us know that you had passed away. Your family is doing great. You've been gone four years now our good friend. Keep Harry's seat warm. I think he'll be hanging with us for quite a while as he was doing well the last time I talked to him. Little Buckster - hope all is going well with you and your bride and that your family's Thanksgiving was wonderful. Know that you Dad had many friends here and will not seen be forgotten. Ben
  21. While no nonger availalbe direct, the HD Theater 1000 seems to be on close out at $399, at One Call Yep while not reference or THX or Heritage or even synergy... but it's still an incredible bang for the buck and value. Great for small room home theater in a box. Add an inexpensive receiver and you've bot one killeer surround sound system. At a price that cannot be beatt. MSRP 1000. This is a GREAT deal. Would alos be greate for second systems or dorm rooms. Get 'em while thiy last. A great introuductipon to the sound of Klilpsc I'm sure any movie or music on thie system wiht a models receiver would be amazing. YMMV One Call is an authroaized selleer. This wiould make great sytem or even main system where apace is limitied. (note to self ... don't try to type while falling asleep under the influence of muschel relaxers / pain meds ....)
  22. Ooh. Loudspeaker shootout. Sounds like fun. I'd love to come but have 1 PM appointment so if 3 PM or a bit later let me know if observers are allowed.
