  1. How long ago did you purchase your pc? What is the processor your running? DDR2 memory is pretty much the stardard now adays and if you purchased your pc within the last I'd say two years then thats probably the type of ram you need. And yes you can use PC3200 to upgrade from PC2700. DDR266 = PC2100 DDR333 = PC2700 DDR400 = PC3200 DDR2-400 = PC2-3200 DDR2-533 = PC2-4200 DDR2-667 = PC2-5300 DDR2-800 = PC2-6400 DDR3-800 = PC3-6400 DDR3-1066 = PC3-8500 DDR3-1333 = PC3-10600 DDR3-1600 = PC3-12800
  2. talk about the deal of the year, wow! congrats on your fortes, they'll sounds great, and even better if you get around checking and switching the xo's and what have you.
  3. that was awesome! I don't think I could do something crazy like that in front of all those people though...
  4. Very pretty indeed. The grills do go very well with the oak cabs.
  5. Well good for you! I'm glad everything worked out in the end, can't wait to see those pics!
  6. First of all welcome to the forum! Like all th others have said once you get that woofer, and get the crossover settings all set up your system will sing. Just be patient, get to know your equiptment, and you'll enjoy your system for years to come.
  7. man why don't you guys chill out? how about we all just appreciate the gear we have, and be happy for the people who can afford things like Gothams and what not and just get along.
  8. Theres plenty of good companies out there SVS, HSU, EPIK, ED that will give you a great bang for you buck, check those guys out.
  9. thanks for the replies, I'll try switching the tweet over to the other speaker tomorrow after class, I'll keep yall posted.
  10. Hey where in south cali are you? I'm in torrance, just north of san pedro.
  11. to make sure that is just the tweeter and not the xover board?
  12. Makes me sad when my gear goes on the frits. I think its just my right channel tweeter that is making the distorting noise, when someone is singing, especially a womans voice, is it really noticeable. I have pluged it into my two receivers (Onkyo TX-SR703 the one I usually use with these speakers, and my Yamaha that I have my cornwalls and sub hooked up to) and the noise is present each time. Maybe the diaphragm is bad? Or could it be the whole tweeter? These speakers are easily 20+ years old, and I know components, ie, crossovers, caps, diaphragms, ect eventually go bad. Any thoughts, if Mr. Bob Crites could give his $.02 that would be cool, and anyone elses is as always appreciated, thanks! Andrew
  13. Simpling amazing, good job Coytee! My family when through something like that when my grandfather passed away. I'm sure those guys can sleep a bit easier now with somebody as diligent as yourself taking cares of thouse matters.
  14. Neat video man, very nice setup! I have some Cornwalls too, and I'm in my own search for some tube amps.
  15. Does anyone have experience with the integrated tube amp?
  16. Alrighty then, school is bumming me out this semester, man I can't wait till I'm done! Anyway, when you guys says intergrated amp, does that mean that the amp and pre amp are in one package?
  17. When all said and done with shipping and tax I would like to spend no more than $1500.
  18. that looks interesting, and its a much lower price, which is always good [] have any experience with that amp, or have you heard much about it?
  19. Thanks to all for sharing the wealth, I really appreciate it! I know I have more research to do before I make any purchase, I'm glad I can get some realiable info from you all that are more in the know that I. Besided these guys, what are some other tube amps that are about in the same price range as the 302b-502b, that would be a good alternitive if I didn't go down the Jolida route? Thanks, Andrew
  20. Good lookin' out! Thanks for your personal experience with the 302b. I had first looked at that one, but I've read for several sites that the 302b didn't have very much bottom end, so thats why I was leaning more towards the 502. Speaking of which, were you missing any bottom end sound with your cornwall/302b setup? And I was't aware that the 302b could have a sub out on it, so thats pretty sweet news! if any of you guys have experience with jolida keep them comming!
  21. thanks for the replies. I'm hoping some more people who own this amp on the forum will share they're experiences too.
  22. Does anyone own, or has anyone heard the jd-502b? I'm considering this for my first tube amp, any feedback would be appreicated. [] For those who want to know I'll be running my cornwalls through it.
  23. very nice! sorry for my ignorance, but what are the heresys hooked up to?
  24. I don't have anthing fancy to bring, but I would love to hear some Khorns! I've never heard them before, I know for shame [:S]
