    What I Got Today!

Pic's of Saturday's score. Of course the other stack is right behind it.
  2. Great story, but you left out what we all want to know. What did you make for dinner?

    What I Got Today!

Sorry but no pic's just yet, really long day. However I will let the cat peek out of the bag. In a CL deal that I should have went running to, I agreed to wait till it was "more convenient" for the seller. We all now what happened next. I will write a separate post about this CL seller. ******************On to the punch line I met up with Jason (JSaint) and we went to the seller not sure expecting what we would find pictures and description were rather different, and what he told Jason on the phone was again different. So long Story Short with Jason's help I picked up 1 pair of Pro LaScalas (1 piece) 1 pair of Pro Split LaScalas, and an old school EM-200 8-channel powered mixing board. My have 2 blown tweets (or loose wires). Drove about 8 hours today and did a home theater install. Long day, Productive Day, Good Day

The risotto looked great, reminded me it's almost time to order some of this years Morel harvest!***********Gary, I was looking at the Lamson knife website, looks like good stuff but I can't buy a knife I have never seen. I'll have to post a pic of the spalted maple drawer mounted knife block I made. We really like our forschners, and cutco.

You just can't beat home-made bacon. This batch was made with maple syrup and smoked with mesquite. Living where we do it's not often we find good flank steak, so it's been a long time since we've made this. Good stuff!

After these get rolled up they go on to a nice hot grill. In the meantime the green beans were blanched and they sauteed in butter and garlic.

We flavor it up with a mixture of grated parm, fresh basil, garlic, soy sauce, worcestershire, and California Olive Ranch Olive Oil (love this stuff). roll up and secure with a toothpick that has been soaked in water to prevent burning.

Okay, here is our first contribution to this fine thread: Tonight's dinner is flank steak pin-wheels, fresh green beans, and a simple salad. We start with home made nitrate free bacon and flank steak sliced thin at an angle.

    What I Got Today!

Cool, I think that's the first Klipsch item to make this thread in many many pages. How do you like it?
  14. I wonder how often if ever any of them make good on the "connected equipment" warranty ?
  15. Here's some cheese to go with all that wine.
  16. Thanks for all the help, she wants only new stuff so I went with the HD 500 even though they wouldn't give me yesterdays discount. I like used, but it's for someone else (thanks for the offer Derrick).
  17. Yea, it's a conspiratorial. Klipsch is the only company I've ever heard of pulling this M-F 9-5 scam. Did you call the better business bureau? What you can't because they are only open M-F 9-5 This is an outrage! Quick call Obama, maybe he has a child that looks like a steelseries mouse. Wait better yet call Thebes.
  18. I know this thread is kind old, but after I built my Danley, I just left my sunfire D-10 sitting around. I gave some thought to selling it, but then thought I may be better served bringing it up to the living room to back up a set of forte's. Don't really have a good spot for it so I placed it on top of one of the Forte's. Not a problem till I noticed it getting ready to fall off. Just thought is was funny I do a search for walking sub, and the thread I find is written about a sunfire. I have some of that non-skid carpet stuff somewhere (I use it in the woodshop for sanding) I'll try some of that first.
  19. I dl'd the one from AVS over torrent. This is great stuff, except mt sub keeps trying to jump off a cliff. O'well I'll stsrt a thread to find out what to do.
  20. Good thing, I bet they'd both scream like hell if you tried to put her back! Beautiful baby, Congrats!
  21. Thanks for the suggestions, look like some decent deals, am I right thinking Quintets will out perform either of the HD Theater sets? Amazon has the Quintet 5.0 system for $450 shipped. http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-QUINTET-Speaker-System-Black/dp/B002HWRKA2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1333898367&sr=8-1
  22. I have to replace a bose setup for a friend, she likes the size of whats there, but they won't work when I put in a real receiver. Looking for suggestions. Thanks
  23. Even later to the party, the Forte I's I picked up a few weeks ago had the same issue. I could see remnants of hot melt glue, so that is what I used.
