  1. Now that you mentioned about the sound material in the Cornwalls, when I did open mine for the first time to replace the diaphrams. It smelled like a zombie opening their mouth for the first time after rising from the dead or maybe just sitting in some old persons house. But none the less it wasn't bad enough to put some heartburn medicine in the port after a night of funk.
  2. Nice job to alls whos just posted picks everything looks nice and neat.[Y]
  3. If you intrested in going this route I could score some Altec 511bs with I thought a (little different driver but could be wrong) for about 400.00 a pair plus shipping. Nick
  4. R.I.P Jimmy, Ya know I just turned 27. This reminds me of the time when Jim Morrisons actuall wife claimed he was still alive, which never turned out to be true. For Jimmy's sake I would love to hear the truth, I guess I don't know if I would rather actually hear that Jimmy was murdered than o.d.ing. Same situation with Kurt Cobain and Sid and Nancy or was it just Sid. Well anyway great story Colter. duder
  5. Last time I priced this out, with all Crites parts and the K400 horns off of ebay, with the k-55 drivers I believe, was around the 1200ish area. But never went through with it so I could be very wrong. Like James wrote your probably best contacting Bob and getting a better quote. Nick
  6. Welcome to the forum. Sorry I cant help you, but I am sure someone around here can, I know there was a gentleman that recently purchased a pair of Cornwalls III from Klipsch, haven't herd anything back from him though. But there are lots of other lines as well, like I said I am not familiar with those lines but I am sure someone around here is. Good luck on your journey. nick
  7. why were at it what do you all use for your electrical components, and does any of yous use lemon oil or anything to dust or shine your speakers. duder
  8. Last I herd Ozzy's finances are going down the hole. My opinion hes probably just trying to gain some money to help pay for that house on the beach hes about to lose.
  9. I have some Joni Mitchell, I'de love to sell for 150.00, if your want i can take a hammer to it so it would be unplayable. Would that make it worth more duder
  10. KW-120 do my eyes decive me is that 4 woofers, []
  11. Welcome to the forum, the nice thing about Klipsch is that there is so many pre-existing lines out there at reasonable prices for used. One thing you may be able to do is find some nice folks close by that might have a couple if not at least one line of Klipsch products for you to test. Good luck on your journey, I am sure you will find something around here even at a fair price. duder.
  12. I always thought the phase switch was for more front facing subs if you had them in line on the same wall as the mains or if you had them oposing the mains, you could switch the phase so they would work together not against. Just one question I always wanted clear up.
  13. Nice work Dave, I think theres another forum member that was wondering if 3.5 watts would be enough for his Cornscalas. It sounds like you were pretty happy with only 2.3, hopefully he stumbles upon this thread especally once youv'e really criticed the amp. Whats the website were you found such a nicely priced little tube amp, do they other stuff. nick

  17. Am I able to pick up DEOX-IT at radio shack, and I was going to attempt to make my own jack here in the next couple of days. Do you know if the ground side of the jack needs to ground to the chassis, I will do a conuity check this after noon to find out. thanks for the input GotHover. nick
  18. Me too, Ive always wanted cane. thanks for the compliment
  19. That's what i plan to do once i have some extra cash, I just picked up a pair of replacement diaphragms local to hear the difference with a tweeter, over the weekend. I guess i realize what Ive been missing on the high side. Also plan on ordering some new caps from Bob in the next week or so.
  20. I guess that was a better one of the power switch, heres one of the rca jacks now.
  21. well that power switch was a bad pic heres a better one of the rca jack strips I am talking about.
  22. So I was looking for some parts on my Pat-4, Now I have checked a couple of the web sites like dynacodoctor, and Triode electronics in, dynakitparts.com, and maybe another.. I guess I could email the guys there but sometimes some of yous folks have better alternatives. But what I am looking for is a power switch and rca jacks in the back, reason is my power switch didn't clean up like I hoped so it doesn't get great contact. And i feel I have some corrosion issues on the jacks, didn't know if some of the gold plated ones were for look only or if they would be worth making something to house them cause the way they have the rca jacks in the back are on a strip so I would have to make a strip which could be done and would happily take advice on best way to make one. Or if anyone know of any aftermarket parts that would work great in these I would be willing to use as long as I didn't have to make much modification the chassis. looking forward to input on this nick
