  1. I don't have a mullet, my hair is equally long front and back but combed back and usually in a pony tail to midway down my back
  2. Closest I have ever come to dying, March 14th I went home from work after 2 hours not feeling well. Turned out I had the flu and worst I've ever had it, the flu turned into pneumonia and put me in the hospital for 8 days March 24th through April 1st. I was on oxygen and in sad shape, I spent a week after that at my sister's while she took great care of me feeding me and keeping me off my feet and well taken care of. Now back home as of yesterday April 7th, still a little weak but feeling stronger everyday. I have never been one to be sick, I don't think I have been in the hospital since I was born other than to visit others. I just turned 58 on March 8th, I still act and have felt more like 40 or even younger. This really sucked! This is me still a long haired hippy Rich
  3. ************************************** S O L D*************************************************************** I have a mint pair of RS-3 ll in black I want to sell. The RS-3 ll's have a 6 inch woofer and two 6 inch horns. I am the original owner I purchased them new at The Good Guys and I have taken very good care of them. There are no flaws, absolutely no speaker dings, none smoking environment, they are in excellent like new condition both in the way they work and the way they look, they sound great. I would like to get $275.00 NOW $225.00 shipped continental US, this is for two speakers. I am in Orange County, California, local pickup could be arranged as well. Photos now added below Thanks Rich
  4. No not really, it is best to have a good matching system and set up a nice blending of all the speakers. THX specifies 80hz as a crossover point, personally on my system I have found 60hz works best for my front speakers and I am using 70hz on my surrounds since I can adjust the crossover at each of my speakers, however some receivers may have only one crossover setting. Lower frequencies start to become unlocalized to the human ear so you cannot tell from which direction or which speaker the sound is coming from, this probably varies among people but for me I like frequencies below 80hz to come from my speakers not just my subwoofer if capable, this is why I use my 60hz and 70hz rather than the THX 80hz. I think it is best to spend a little time to experiment with different crossover points based on your systems capabilities and listen for what sounds best to you.
  5. Many people find no difference with bi-wiring. Personally I prefer my my front speakers bi-wired and have found it to be a very slight improvement with just a very little improvement to detail. My current wires I am using which I made myself using Mogami quad core wire. Picture is before I added GLS locking bananas.
  6. I have a couple of Fry's nearby only been to one, they are a pretty good store especially for computer parts for building or repairing computers. They are a very busy, very large store with a large inventory, sort of a large open floor warehouse. I don't see them as a very good place for online shopping but they can be a good place to shop for bargain stuff.
  7. Whenever you are using a capable subwoofer your speakers should be set at SMALL. When you use the SMALL setting is when your crossover comes into play and then the crossover should be adjusted accordingly to your speakers capabilities. You want your very lowest frequencies directed to the subwoofer then adjust the crossover to a setting that works well with your speakers the more capable your speakers are at producing low frequency the lower you can set your crossover setting. Experiment with various crossover settings to find what works best for your speaker setup. For most large speakers it is best to set the speakers as SMALL then set the crossover to something between 40hz and 80hz as to what works best with your particular speaker/subwoofer combo. When using a smaller or a satellite speaker you should use a higher crossover setting sometimes as high as 120hz again according to the speakers capabilities. Many people think "My speakers are large so I should use the LARGE setting" this is completely incorrect.
  8. 2016 has been rough on the music world. RIP Keith Emerson One of my first concerts was the California Jam in Ontario California, a Woodstock like concert where Emerson, Lake and Palmer were one of the bands to perform.
  9. BTW my image for my Please Wait pages the Hershey Kiss, if you notice the little ribbon says Petite Sweets which is my business name and I often use this image as a logo.
  10. Looks good Youth, now you are getting the hang of things. Here are a few of my button pages. For these I used URC button images from their Image Gallery.
  11. Yes exactly, then my "Please Wait" page only shows while the macros are turning multiple things ON/OFF and once the macro is complete at the end I have it Jump to another remote page that I want the remote to display.
  12. Here are my remotes seven main pages I created and also two "Please Wait" pages I created which appear while macros are turning ON or OFF my system. This should give an idea as to some of the amount of customization that is available on the URC MX-890 remote, all of the images were created or modified by me and are unique to my remote.
  13. Here is the page on Remote Central that has hex codes for the AE8000u the URC software can get the IR codes using these hex codes, but it is easier if you just learn them from another remote. The URC software's Universal Browser can learn IR codes from hex codes. https://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/codes/panasonic/projector/
  14. To be honest the easiest way would be to just Learn the AE8000u commands you want to use from your original remote which is very easy to do. I did find some commands for the AE8000u that were listed on http://www.remotecentral.com/ but doing it this way is more trouble than Learning them from an existing remote.
  15. Youth you do know that the two hard button Power buttons on top are programmable for every page. On every Device page I use the top left Power hard button to turn ON that Device and the top right Power hard button to turn OFF that Device. On the 1st Main page my top left Power hard button turns ON my most used activity and on the 1st Main page the top right Power hard button will turn my whole system OFF no matter what is currently ON. Each Main page the buttons to enter an Activity if pressed 2 seconds or longer will start a macro to turn everything needed ON and adjust all settings for that Activity, if only quickly pressed and released the remote will simply Jump to that page without activating the macro.
  16. 'Five-dimensional' glass discs can store data for up to 13.8 billion years or until you drop it, which ever occurs first.
  17. Nice, great to see kids who are interested in having a system. Now you just need to decide which remote to give her an MX-890, MX-880 or Harmony One. It looks very good, but make sure that Onkyo does not get too warm, they usually like a little more breathing room.
  18. Another option that might work good for getting an IR signal from the MRF-350 to your projector is IR over hdmi cable. I have never used this to know how well it works but there are kits for sending IR through an existing hdmi cable. They use little adapters which plug onto the hdmi cable at each end then these plug into the components, The adapters also have 3.5.mm plug inlets to accept an IR receiver and transmitter at each end to run IR over your existing hdmi cable.
  19. Several options, the MRF-350's blaster, a wired blaster, wired emitter or if the projector has a 3.5mm IR input a direct 3.5mm cable and of course the remote is still able to send IR. Probably the easiest way to do it nicely would be to have a wired blaster mounted to your front wall aiming to the projector.
  20. Actually the RFX-250 has the antenna and receives the RF and converts it, then sends it to the MRF-350 which distributes it to your components. The MRF-350 has six 3.5 mm IR outputs with adjustable strength at each output, there is also a large IR blaster on the MRF-350, these have control settings in the software and can be used to control how IR is received by different components. Even identical components which use the exact same IR signals can be controlled completely individually and separately from one another. The MRF-350 also has an IR input so other sources of IR can be used with it. I use the MRF-350's IR input to accept IR from my Blumoo bluetooth receiver which is a smart phone remote system.
  21. The whole state isn't going, only enough to give me beach front property.
  22. What,,,, we have rules???
  23. Let me correct myself, according to URC the RF range is 50 to 100 feet, depending upon the environment
  24. Here is more on the MRF-350 http://www.universalremote.com/pdf/MRF-350_Rev04_130822.pdf URC remotes are capable of far more than Harmony especially in its RF capabilities, plus much more customization. URC remotes also have the most powerful IR signals I have seen in any remote, plus they are very well made, I think quite a bit better than Harmony.
