  2. Hey MB, Congratulations!!! I knew you would like them! But.......... Are they all original or have they been updated? What year are they? Dennie [<)]
  3. Well then, I've got to go with what I've got. La Scalas with a sub. Top Notch!! Dennie
  4. Welcome to the Klipsch Forum Mossy Bottom, we're glad you're here. Do you mean La Scala II's? Yes, I think they (either one) will sound great. I have La Scala's (1979) and they are 11 feet apart and about 12 feet from my favorite seat. They sound amazing and I've never thought about upgrading to a "better" speaker. There is nothing like Horn Loaded bass, your jaw will drop! Keep us posted and again, we're glad you're here, Dennie
  5. Although the Kids are using these new fangled ones.... Maybe one day, I'll upgrade! [^o)] Dennie
  6. Good call, those are very popular among vinyl enthusiasts. Just make sure you set it up the right way.... I recommend you attach it to the wall, also. I have a 5 X 5 and a 4 X 4 unit and love them both. [<)] Dennie

  12. Yezzir, but it's a major mod called a "Klipschorn." Dave ....... Or the portable version, La Scala! Dennie
  13. Well, this isn't good news. I spent a few years in the Field Artillery. [:S] The good news is, we have pretty efficient speakers, so as you say, take them out and turn it up!!! [<)] I do everything I can today, to protect the hearing I have left. Thanks for the reminder. Dennie
  14. Thanks for sharing this with us. You are truly blessed to have your Mom with you for so long. My Mom passed away last November at the age of 79. So, I have an idea of what you're going through. My Mom taught me years ago to celebrate the life lived, not mourn the death. It was/is sad to lose my Mom, but she left me with so much to celebrate, I've been busy doing that! My deepest condolences for your loss and may she Rest In Peace. I agree with Boxx, stay close to friends and family to help you get though this difficult time. God Bless, Dennie
  15. Yeah, I hear good things about HK and Klipsch, you'll have to let us know how you like it. Does the HK have a "Phono" input? If not, you may have to get an external Phono pre amp. Something to keep in mind. Congratulations David! [<)] Dennie
  16. Hey Jeff, did you also post this in the Garage Sale section? More of the "Right" people will see it there. Good luck and keep us posted, Dennie
  17. Talk to Bob or Michael Crites, they will take care of you and let you know what will and will not work with your beautiful Belles! You may just need to update the caps, but talk to Bob or Michael. Congratulations on the new addition to the family. [<)] Dennie
  18. Now you know why we LOVE our old Klipsch speakers! Congratulations!!! [<)] Dennie
  19. Sad news! Rest In Peace Earl! Dennie
  20. This may be worth a shot. http://jerseyshore.craigslist.org/ele/2916859630.html I have never heard it but have read very favorable reviews. Maybe someone on the forum will chime in about SVS cylinder subs. Bill I have this sub and I would recommend you grab it ASAP!!! I think I paid $1000 delivered for mine. When sub shopping I contacted SVS and I told them, music was most important, but I wanted to shake the house for movies. The 20-39pc plus is what was recommended. It can be tuned to 12hz, but I have mine tuned to 16Hz and love it. Keep us posted and Welcome to the Klipsch forums, Dennie
